Re: 2004 megane cc
they just want adjusting correctly... unfortunately, bad adjustment on the majority of cars has left the megane with a poor watertight image, which is a shame... They categorically do not leak or have problems with doors sealing if the adjustments are correct... MMmmmm Not quite correct I am affrai...

Re: Megane 1.5 dci FAP 110 EDC - horrible experience!
just to re assure you... mine is always driven around town and you will not get much better mpg in winter than the 29 you quote.... Take it on a 10 mile round trip and your back to the high 50 s... Remember to halve your service intervals... ( just for comparison my 2.2diesel civic can match out of ...

Re: Extremely slight whine when accelerating
mine had 25k miles on and lovely clean oil serviced every 3k miles for the 7 year history...(1.5diesel) But 700 miles into ownership I noticed the turbo was whining and sounding overly loud, so much so both my dashcams picked the noise up... I also noticed when I gave the engine a slight rev/blip th...

Re: tyres for cabrio
the megane cc is a heavy tub with girly looks and any one driving one anything like enthusiastically is dicing with death and should have bought a car more suited and safer for that type of driving style... most people wont even check there tyres once a week never mind every day as is necessary with...

Re: Head Gasket/Coolant problem
Hi, Thanks for replies..................Bambam....it is a new filler cap, but it is meant to let water out at a certain pressure? If it is an exhaust gases leak into the coolant system, then if I use Kseal would it work as surely the pressure of the exhaust gas would stop the kseal getting to where...

Re: tyres for cabrio
I think the thing we can all take from this thread, is that tyres are a subjective matter. nope... tyres are either good or sh1t... My lotus was shod with advan rubber at £250 on the rear every 3000 miles driving the peak and they were well ready despite never having spun the wheels just negotiated...

Re: tyres for cabrio
as a final comment to cut through negative attitudes and disbelief that a budget cc rated tyre can be a safe proposition.... I too live in the peak district and travel britains most dangerous roads every day and have done through an entire winter be it fog , sidewards rain, snow or ice... No wheel s...

Re: Exhaust DRIPPING Lots of black runny oil !
never heard anything like it.... if oil went into turbo compression side a running engine would self destruct in burning it ...with clouds of smoke just guessing but a leak into turbo exhaust side WOULDNT CHANGE ENGINE RUNNING but would expel the oil out the back - but all of it in 20 minutes isn't ...

Re: Head Gasket/Coolant problem
I have used k seal in the past with great effect , not loosing much in trying this first, but in the end you will need a new head gasket and possibly the head skimming also I used this in a 405 diesel with bad water pressure problems.. amazing stuff as I poored it in it sealed within seconds and ra...
