Well at least you know that this is "Characteristic" of the car. As long as it's not using any oil or causing any other problems then ignor it and enjoy your Megane and all the power you have to play with :P

As for the Air bag fault :?

Welcome to the club Don :wave

Yes the turbo does make a slight whistling sound, so don't worry.

It's about time Renault fixed the water ingress problems in the door pockets. This has been happening since the Megane II was introduced

Could be the Dephaser pulley or the TDC sensor. Try posting in the owernship section of the forum and do a search for Dephaser pulley threads as well.

Touch up paint for Bumper inserts/rubbing strip

Just had a close encounter with a metal fence in the work car park and scratched 2 small markes into the paint on the rear bumper insert. :( It has'nt damaged the plastic, just rubbed the paint off, unfortunately right on the corner of the bumber exactly where you can see it! Now I know that Renault...

No buckled wheels or wheel weights missing from mine, checked yesterday.

Beginning to wonder if the engine vibrations I get at idle and this are related :?:

I'm off to the dealers tonight for a chat about this :? I'll let you know any info I get.

I posted something very similar earlier on in the year. Had exactly the same thing and it turned out to be one of my front wheels slightly out of balance and my tyre pressures were low (duff digital presure guage, now in the bin! :? ) Wheel shake was cured, but I clobbered a big pot hole yesterday a...

I'm happy(ish) with mine, it's much better than the 52plate Laguna I had before. I've only ever had Renault's and had very good service from them up until the last Laguna which was a dog! Silly little things spoil the enjoyment though. My handsfree has been a total pain, and the dashboard rattles ar...

You will always pay a lot for oil when you have your car serviced at a main dealer. My advice is to look in you hand book for the correct grade and specification of oil for your car, and go and buy some from a local motor factors and ask the dealer to use the supplied oil. Or you could contact Oilma...

Firstly welcome to the Forum Kate :wave You should not need anything replacing unless a particular component has suffered damage as a result of the overheating. If the cap was blown off then yes I would say this does need replacing. The head gasket on the engine can fail when an engine overheats (bu...

Cutting out sounds like Dephaser pulley problems to me as Tom said. Seeing as you've only had it 6 weeks, I would very much look at rejecting the car considering the problems you've already had. 03 Meganes do seem to suffer from a lot of faults, and Dephaser problems seems to affect the 03 models mo...

Same thing happened on the Wifes Clio. The whole control was replaced under warranty becasue the volume buttons came loose.

Is it the volume buttons or the whole unit that's loose? If it's the whole unit can you try packing it out with foam or PVC tape?
