Bit strange. When parked overnight at home on a sloped drive the car starts first time. Here at work also on a slope (both down and the left) I get the above symptons. This only started after the massive down poor, could this be anything to do with it? Should I let loose the WD40?

Hope my RAC warranty covers that then...

My cars just started doing this, and straight after a service but its not all the time.... Is this definatly the start motor? (Its what I originally expected).

But thats the thing. That price quoted SHOULD have included everything needed for the service. I can only suggest to phone up some other garages and ask whats included in their services.

Thats worryingly as my 36,000 service is almost due. When I enquired I could have sworn they said that it included all the oil etc.

Yeah its 36k I believe. My change oil light has also come on (at similar miles to you) but I have a 1.6 VVT instead

Although having said, make sure you twist the indictor bulb holder around. If in doubt have a look at the other light, and make sure the metal contacts are orientated the same way on both sides (north west and south east facing on mine I think). I had this same proble mwth a mates car and even Renau...

Thinking maybe his RAID ain't turned on. Do you hold the lock/unlock button on the console for 5-10 seconds to enable/disable this?

Strange as mine autolocks once I've closed the door and walk off. (Takes a moment or so and then the lights flash and locks). The dealer was convinced it was supposed to do this aswell.

My car seems to do this just fine (03) plate. My mates 2.0 VVT (04) is not auto locking if you leave the car unattended for a length of time. Is there a way to enable this or is something up?

His is also a dynamique and has every option under the sun on it.

I'd rather have both.

That really shouldn't be possible as there are two parts to the bonnet release. Scary stuff.

OK the cars got its MOT due in June and was wondering if theres a quick an easy way to check the brakes. They seem just fine but I've only owned this car since November last year (its a 2003) so have no idea how old the brakes are. I've a 2003 1.6 VVT. Sorry if this seems like such a noob question b...
