When you get the car serviced just ask the mechanic to give the flap a clean so that there is no gunge in the end of the drain.

After applying WD-40 a few times over the last month the button works and the car locks via the drivers door. I believe it is moisture ingress and the lastest spate of hot weather has helped drying it out.

Running too rich, fuel/air mixture. Thinking could MAF related. Is it worth cleaned the MAF with the dedicated MAF Cleaner?

Also make sure that the housing around air filter/MAF has no splits.

What megane are you running Petrol or Diesel

Check pollen filter to see if it not blocked. I pull mine out and give a shake and hoover the crap out of hole where the filter goes. I change mine every year. You will be amazed what crap gets down there. If the flow is restricted then you won't get a decent flow through the evaporator.

Does the air con pipe in the engine compartment get cold?

If it does then evaporator in the cabin should pump out cold air. Is there any air flow out of the vents?

When you switch on the air con do you hear a click from the engine area (compressor kicking in), revs increase and does the air con light come on?

Also if you look under the bonnet there should be an air con pressure pipe on the left hand side, does that get cold to the touch?

Funny that you should say that they temperamental but it worked a couple of times yesterday evening but is not working this morning. Which bit is prone to failing? and does it mean removing the door card?
