Easy solution to not get fined/pulled over....guaranteed to work everytime... don't speed, don't run red lights, don't drive and use your phone, keep your car maintained...it's not that difficult.. what's the problem? if you're speeding and get caught, who's fault is it? the speed camera or the driv...

the little flaps on your roof either pull up or push and slide. remove the plastic caps in the hole and screw bars in. If you don't get all the plastic caps out, you won't be able to fix the screw in correctly, a 6mm tapper will sort that out. You will also find, if you havnt already got them, you'l...

timing belt kit,
accessoires belt,
tensioner.
(make sure you change the pulleys at the same time (they're plastic)
and dephaser if you want to spend £118 for the part whilst doing the belts or £500 if it goes afterwards. Inspect the waterpump, they are reliable and don't necessarilly need changing

looks like the coolant needs draining (previous owner maybe just topped up with water?). needs a service and dephaser replaced.

Coils don't just affect renaults....have a google, you'd be suprised as to what manufacturer comes up first, and they're not that expensive to replace. The dephaser is a pig. How renault can deny there is a problem with them juding by the number of threads on here that are dephaser, dephaser, dephas...

i had this a years ago when they introduced tax banding. the limit was 1100cc and my renault 5 was 1108cc. but i suppose there has to be a cut off at some point. there's only two things certain in life....death and taxes

the first "biggy"...can you still start it? if you remove pull out the stereo with some scouse fingers, you can undo a couple of torque screws to remove the panel and have a look. it may just be a case of super gluing

i always try to stay below 3000. think 2000 may be a bit labouring in some gears.
