Re: Clutch biting point
Good Luck dave, but I think a major point Renault will bang on is the use of an independent garage and not a franchised dealer.

Re: mpg display
I tried that on my Megane, didn't work.. may be programmable via CLIP according to the workshop manual though as there are a few parameters which can be set on the dials.

Re: mpg display
UK versions (imperial MPG) don't show instantaneous consumption, where as European Meganes (Metric L/100KM) do, weirdly.

Re: Renault CLIP... Yourkshire Huddersfield
Paddy, Kind of related to this post, but also not related as I'm no where in the Yorkshire area... but was wondering if you know this: My mate has an 09 Clio 197, he's replaced the standard front seats with recaros which don't have side airbags.. obviously airbag light is permanently on - if he goes...

Re: Megane has s#*t itself!
same thing happened to me when the battery was dead, the fluctuation in voltage because of the dead battery (car is running of the alternator only) caused a few warning messages (auto wiper fault), the lights flickering, the power steering feeling weird at low speed, and the ABS computer shut down a...

Re: Door pull
the facelift megane, 2006 onwards don't have that rubbery soft touch material anymore, therefore nothing to wear away (I think anyway, the 04 Megane I had wasn't a facelift one)

Re: air bag light and no horn
do you get a plastic on plastic scraping/clicking noise from the steering wheel area when turning the steering wheel? What if you've got your indicators on, any noises? If so, or rather, sounds like the rotary switch/airbag clock spring.

Megane gone (as well)
Again, I've too finally let my Megane go. I've had it since March 2005 - It was registered February 2004. Similar reason to Andy as to why I've gotten rid of mine, it had 131,300 miles, and the turbo blew about 5 weeks ago. I do miss it a lot - very sad to see it go! Still finding the ins and outs o...

lol I thought the bonnet had fire damage to it! Describe the bonnet design/colour in more detail?
I think if you're prepared to fix it up and stuff, it'd be a good buy! Are you allowed to maybe get a look of the car from underneath to maybe get a better idea of the mechanicals?

Re: boot carpet and spare wheel cover
I have that thing that goes in the spare wheel well, it still sags! Probably not as much as without one though... As to whether it's standard or not I'm not sure, mine was standard, but as with all car manufacturers they're always changing the specifications!

Re: Indicator light comes on when i brake
I had a similar issue after I just replaced the rear indicator bulb. I double checked the bulb was seated correctly, rather I pulled the bulb out and put it back in and it was fine. Other than that, sounds like a bad earth.
