Condition is more important than age i would say. My old man had a blow out on the M1 a few years ago. The reason - cracks in the side wall. What happens is water gets in the cracks and as you speed along the motorway the water in the cracks warms up with the tyre, eventually the water boils and boom.

I reckon i would of done alot better at school and college if it was out when i was a young un.
