Re: Cabasse help ?!!
Just be careful because what you think is the headunit usually isn't. The actual radio and amp are usually tucked away in the boot, this was certainly true of the Espace/Laguna, and havn't worked out if this is the case with the Megane. The CD changer didn't look to change between models though so s...

Re: Megane side panel smashed
The panel has to be cut if it can't be saved, its suprising what can be saved though with metal work. Most body shops will prefer to try and save a panel rather than cut as once you break into that body shell its not gonna last anywhere near as long due to rust. I had the door and rear arch sorted a...

Re: Grand Espace Initial 3.0 V6 dci
Yeah for the sunroof, its truely panoramic - massive, so that deflector stops alot of buffeting in the rear, but most importantly it stops alot flys entering the car at 70mph :). I noticed last night on the handsfree system that it automatically locks when you walk off which is ideal as I often forg...

Re: Royal Mail for Sale
To be honest, Royal Mail will probably always deliver letters to your door, theres no better way, but I suspect the services to get them to the posities will become highly competitive if a sell off goes ahead as the monopolies thing will come into action at a guess. Do you Royal Mail that essential ...

Re: Grand Espace Initial 3.0 V6 dci
The best part means I can could now comfortably get an R26 or order one of the new Gen Megane Sports, but I think I like the Megane II too much to order a Megane III new.

Re: Child lock button
Yes - two in those exact locations. Mine behaved like that, then later went in reverse after kids were playing with door handles. It seemed to get confused - by which I suspect we must be talking about the ECU. With the switch in the off position (pressed towards you) I locked the car and unlocked i...

Re: Sports/Uprated Clutch
The time for diesels to over throw petrols is coming!!!! I now own both - I won't be getting rid of a petrol car anytime soon though! I like the fact you can start a petrol and hardly realise its even running, there have been times I've gotten out and wondered why the car wouldn't lock - yep becaus...

Re: Newbie - Insurance please!
Aviva are alright but the above is true and it is annoying. You WILL get a UK call centre when you call to start a new policy. You WILL get a foreign call centre when phoning up to complain, ask questions etc. I made a policy change and ended up with £55 going out of my account every month but a let...

Re: Engine Replacement
ebays a good start as a number of engine specialists avdertise on there selling refurbed engines. They will either fit the engine for you (they want your old one in return) or you arrange for a local garage to fit it again with the old engine being picked up afterwards.

Re: help radio stays on
I had this on my Scenic - turned out the stereo was foobar. Theres two circuits that the headunit uses, ones linked to the ignition, the others not. You may find even if you turn the stereo off it still now draws alot of power. With mine the digital display remained on aswell.
