Re: How do I disarm the alarm?
The instructions don't mention whether the card is in the slot for a non-hands-free car. If it is, then the ignition is turned on, just like on a hands-free car.

Re: High Mileage but Quite New 1.5 Dci 106 - Good Buy ?
My dCi 106 was registered late May 06 and is on 12k intervals. By 07 plated ones it was back to 18k. If it's been looked after then I can't see any reason why it wont give good service - the lower price is representative of the mileage.

Not having one I don't know who makes them, but they use the VDO protocol (digital version ie S/PDIF) to talk to the headunit.

Re: Renault To Go
Not sure what course of action you might want to take, but I can say my Meg is from Renault To Go, and was ex-rental. It's had a few problems, fixed under warranty, but never let us down. Prior to the Meg I had an ex-demo 307 that did let us down (at 3yrs, 5weeks old), and had more remedial work at ...

Re: 54 Plate 1.9dci Tourer - Only 35MPG?
What's the quoted urban consumption? If you usually drive in urban conditions, and short journeys that involve stopping and starting, the mpg is always going to be worse than a combined figure. You might see some improvments by making sure your tyres are inflated at least to the recomended pressure ...

Re: Dynamique Spec Post-2007
I now recall that cruise control became standard when the auto wipers and lights became options! The sunroof is definatly worth having IMO, so good call there Rog

Re: Air Con Recall
I've been having problems with the air conditioning in my '06. It stops working after about 10 months of light use (regularly used, just not loads as I have a sunroof that I prefer when the weather is reasonable). My dealership can't find any signs of a leak, so I'm wondering if this recall might ap...

Re: Should i buy a Megane II?
Before my Megane I had a 307, which was replaced due to unreliability shortly after the warranty ran out. The Megane has had a few issues, they've been sorted out by the local dealership I brought it from. Compared to a 306, all of them are a lot larger, especially the Focus that is widest. I regula...

Re: Dynamique Spec Post-2007
On '07 Dynamique's the auto wipers & lights became non-standard. On my '06 they were standard, so I don't know when the change happened exactly, but the car is as expected.

Re: Dipped beam shadows
Is the beam pattern like \/ rather than \_ as viewed from the seats? If so then the bulb isn't seated correctly. I had a job to get both my headlight bulbs seated properly as it's not so easy on the facelifted model (06 on). If you've fitted the bulbs yourself then I'd advise standing a board in fro...

Re: FAP Regeneration.
I don't have a FAP (I wouldn't want one being honest), but I wonder if dropping a gear and thus increasing the revs will aid in getting the exhaust hotter for regeneration.

Re: Service schedule - Megane Estate 1.5 DCi (2007)
and finally - why does my fifth door make my car a higher tax bracket??? - Does that door REALLY allow more harmfull emmisions to escape into the atmos ???? The extra weight means there's a little more emissions for road fund purposes. Unfortunatly that pushes the sport tourer into a higher bracket...
