Re: Upgrading my car to cruise control....

First thing to do is remove the headlight levelling switch n dash light dimmer panel and see if you have the white plug behind it. If you dont you cant add cruise control!

I think i bought the only 2 megane estates without the plugs!!!!

Re: "Check Injection" and Service light on when I hit 3200rpm.

The egr on the 1.5 is easy to get to. Take the engine cover off and its more or less infront of the drivers seat on the back of the engine. Its built into the inlet manifold

Re: I think I've bought a bad one

Just keep taking it back untill the issues are sorted! If he wants to keep throwing money at it let him!

Its a pain the the arse butif all else fails he will have to drop an engine in anyway!

Re: Starter Motor?

On the 1.9 dci it is round the back under the turbo down pipe. Are you sure its not just the battery that has failed to hold charge and not enough cranking power to turn the starter motor?

Re: "Check Injection" and Service light on when I hit 3200rpm.

Thats the start of the egr sticking. Get the egr off, give it a good clean, big chunks will come out of it and free off the plunger with plenty of easing fluid, gt85 wd40 etc etc. If you want to fix it and never have to worry about it again, buy a cheap used egr and plug it into the plug and cable t...

Re: Megawows, trunk and wiper - Rage LOL

On mine the wires in the rubber boot at the top left of the boot lid had all split, a bit ove movement and it would work again, your could have started splitting and letting a bit of water in

Re: EGR Blanking plate (Megane 1.9 dci 120 2004)

I have a 1.5 DCI. When I bought the car, the previous owner had unplugged the EGR valve and told me it was harmless and did nothing to the engine as it runs fine with it unplugged. When I plugged it back in, for the MOT, it had blasted a piece of carbon down into my turbo and nocked the impeller of...

Re: megane saloon with RS 225 is it possible

Anything is possibly, it helps to know the right people! Iv done a full 1.5 to 1.9 dci and she runs beautifully just requires a remap to make the most of the hybrid turbo. The interior/dashboard looms are the same so it will be everything electrical in the engine bay that requires changing to overco...

But still wont fire. Its saying immobiliser fault and check injection. I had the 130 eci virginised so shouldnt be an issue with immobiliser but iv just thought, iv had a 120 map put on but they run different egr and other bits, could this be my problem
