Re: Help - Cruise control not working

Hi, there are more than one fault given for both these codes. As for the DF085, not being auto, it means 'injection-fuel pump relay control circuit' ( l assumed it was auto, sorry ) As for the DF026 there are several selections None, however mention sunroof. Google 'OBD11 diagnostics.Trouble codes d...

Re: egr valve

Hi,
I've only blanked a C Max once and went ok.
When you did this one did you blank it at the manifold or after the EGR.
Either way, it must have noticed a change in the manifold air pressure l guess.
Don't forget, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Re: spanner light

Hi, this could be a few things apparently and will eventually show up with a specific fault code. If at present the car seems to run ok, if l were you l'd give it some time to come to the fore. No help l know, but till it shows up it's a guessing game.( unless it's due for service ) Try and notice i...

Re: Help - Cruise control not working

Hi, there's a couple of things wrong with the garage diagnosis. They say that the clock spring would generate it's own code yet you've got the airbag light on and they haven't picked up any code for that. I've a suspicion that they only have diagnostics for engine and drive train and not for body. T...

Re: Help - Cruise control not working

Hi, l looked up those fault codes and they seem to relate to injection or auto box features, no mention of sunroof. l just fixed my high level brake light and it was the connections gone rusty, l imagine it's common. If there's a noise from the steering wheel, bet your boots it's the clock spring, y...

Re: Air Conditioning Problem

Hi,
not an expert on this but there is a fuse F4 in engine fuses (not connected to button according to almost useful Haynes )
You also got the pressure switch could be the trouble, plus test the clutch from battery.

Re: Clutch CSC

Hi,
the Haynes almost useful manual only mentions two bolts to undo.
For peace of mind it would pay you to pick a couple of different makes on Ebay and message the sellers with your reg number.
Try and find 100% ebayers who pay for returns if they get it wrong.
Good luck

Re: rearbrakes

Hi,
not sure but you'll soon find out. ( Haynes only mentions clockwise )
Trick is to undo the bleed nipple as you turn them in makes it a lot easier.

Re: Automatic Gearbox

Hi, remove battery and tray for filler plug. The level plug is incorporated in the drain plug. It'll be the inner smaller hexagonal nut, it's a tube that goes vertically into the box. Have the gearbox warm if you want to do this and warm the fluid going in. When it starts coming out, let it out till...

Re: Automatic Gearbox

Hi,
if this is an 02 -08 model, according to the Haynes almost useful manual, it's sealed for life and doesn't need changing.
Is it leaking, playing up etc, why do you want to change it ?

Re: Card reader

Hi, only know that yours is like mine and how it should be. The key less means you open and close remote, when you enter the card and start it is triggered by something in the slot. With the engine running, if you remove the card, the steering locks, handy in winter sometimes, but l wonder if it wou...

Re: Service light and airbag symbol

Hi,
sounds like the squib ( clock spring ).
You'll see on you tube how to do it.
When mine went l got one off Ebay as they are quite expensive new.
When you fit it, disconnect the battery for 10 mins first.

Re: 1.5dci post-water pump change airlock in system

Hi, don't know if a tyre cap would fit but glad you found the screws. The heater may bleed itself eventually on a run but see if it blows out hot and keep an eye on engine temp and coolant level for a while. I do find it pays to look on you tube for tips when doing even simple jobs. Good luck Bob.
