About the child seats, i have had no problem with my scenic seats apart from needing to take the headrest off to get the back to be straighter.

Good post m8, had many of these things go on me, had to limp 26 miles home from work one day on 3 pots. Another thing you could do is start the engine and remove a coil one at a time. You will hear it drop to 2 pots if you pull out a good one(may even stall) and no change when you pull out the duff ...

Ive always imagined if i can do it, then so can renault. I would also suspect that there would be a fair few places would do it without removing bumper, but would charge you for it. If i lived near you m8 i would have done it for you no problem. :hug

I had lexus lights on my mk2 scenic but didnt have an issue with any problems. Mine used the original light houseing it was just the glass that was changed. The original unit just clipped into the lexus lights. Sounds as if there is a dodgy circuit in your new lights causing a cross over somewhere.
