Re: Servicing Interval Advice Requested
Oil and oil filter should be changed. Oil with specification RN0710 should be used, unless your car is equipped with FAP/DPF (diesel particle filter), in which case you will need RN0720 oil spec. Change the air filter and cabin filter, too. The oil should be either 5w40 or 0w40 if car is not equippe...

The worst ones are original Sagem coils. I would go for BERU or Valeo. Beru is the best option, AFAIK.

First check that the floor mat isn't getting under accelerator pedal (I know it sounds stupid, but it happens)l. Next, check oil level with cold engine with car parked on the level surface. If oil level is over max, pump some oil out of the engine until it reaches middle point between max and min ma...

Go to the stealers and tell them to fix it. It is a known fault, I had a problem with it, was fixed under warranty, although car was 3 years old and out of warranty. Insist on Renault paying for it as it is a known fault, and they know the fuel can contaminate other systems.

Don't worry, just change the oil ASAP, put some full synth, Mobil 1 or Motul, the VVT system will appreciate it.

Steve
I'll drop by occasionally, to inform you that the car is boring and that I don't have any troubles with it, hopefully.

Exchanged my Megane for a new Laguna III. Same 1.5 dCi engine, only a newer one with 110 HP and DPF. I wish everyone luck with their Meg's, mine was a very good companion for more than 3 years and 100.000 miles. This is my new ride: http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/5831/040720112428.jpg http://img...

Re: Brake replacement
You need something (some kind of press) to press the bearing in on the rear axle. Unless you get a disc with bearing, that is.

Re: Cabin Filter
You need to get under the steering wheel and pull some plastics out, it is in fact easier for the cars with RHD. You don't need to take the glove box off.
