going through the blackwall tunnel today the radio cut out and the display just said ALARM. Thats a new one on me, does anyone know what it means.

righto, when i'm sat on the mway or dual carriageways at a steady speed on steady throttle the engine appears to hiccup. it doesnt jerk or anything but it is noticeable. I have no other symptoms apart from the low spped traffic problem tht ive always had but this hiccuping is a new one.

any ideas

i know, it was kind of a play on words, didnt know if anyone would notice

really stupid question but do i need to remove the ariel before running the mg through a carwash?

hello fella, many welcomes. chuck a search up for toxic fume. your prob will prob be a coil pack or lambda. does the car run rough, idle lumpy etc?

its probably a coil pack mate. if you do a search for toxic fume on here it'll chuck up loads of results. common problem

should be 850-900 at a guess. sounds like you might have an air leak or loose hose. or a stickin throttle

buy another one from the scrappys or ebay and cut it down to the size you like and swap it over. then if you ever sell you can pop the original one back on.

the forte isnt a cetane booster, it has no relation to improving the fuel quality, its all cleaning agents, similar to the reason that Shell dielsel/petrolis different to the supermarkets shell issue to, its the additives put in after.
