Re: MOMO Steering Wheel

With the current changes to the MOT standards your car will be deemed unroad worthy if you remove the drivers airbag and apart from failing its mot any police check of your car will result in having to re mot the car.

Re: electrical fault - fuse box water ingress

there are 2 main things to do, first make sure that the water ways under the scuttle trim is clear otherwise the water fills up in there and over flows onto the fusebox lid. second renault changed the fuse box and lid to prevent this happening so you could upgrade this. make sure your lid is clipped...

Re: Air Intake Loose....

if you are on about the pipes that run from the front panel under the battery tray and into the bottem of the airbox they are secured together only by locaters on the pipes. you could put a small screw in it where they over lap to stop them coming apart. to get to the pipes you are best to remove th...

Re: steering? electric assisted?

the steering on these is electric and is speed sensertive,
i would check the front suspention for play in lower arm and track rod ends as this is most likely where your problem is and paying for tracking to be adjusted with worn out parts is just wasteing money

Re: "BATTERY LOW"

check the fusebox in the engine bay for water ingress, the lid may have as torx screw in it, these cars are really bad for this and they cause problems like you have, the ecu inside the fuse box is a protect and switch system so forms part of the system with tells the engine to turn over. they are n...

Re: steering fault

a fault like this is most likely to be the steering angle sensor. not sure where they are on this car but should either be behing airbag in steering wheel or under the dash on the steering column shaft some where. it measures the input angle from the steering wheel and sends this data to the esp and...

Re: car will not turn over hELP!!!!!

yes this would stop it from starting. not sure where the cable is but putting a jump lead from battery - to the engine block should be able to bypass this possability, i presume you are still using your cars original ecu, what is the dash doing when you try to start it and what is the immo light doi...

Re: cruise control

hi this subject is covered well if you google it. the first thing you should check for is a multi plug located in the shroud around the steering wheel. there should also be a multi plug behind the switch's where your esp, headlight adjuster, are. pop this trim out and have a look for it. if you don'...

Re: Suspension Question

i think the problem you may have is that the 225 struts are thicker and won't fit in your steering knuckle,
another problem is the weight difference between the 225 and a dci CC, a standard 225 and dci are about the same weight but the CC weighs even more so the springs may be to soft

Re: fitting a double din help

you should not need a facia as the hole in the renault dash is a standard double din size, hence factory stereo and cd changer both fit and there both single din, as for the cage almost all stereo's come with there own cage but if not almost any other double din cage will do the job. remember your s...

Re: Bumper fog lights

hi
you need to remove the bumper and they should screw to the back of the bumper.
not sure if your model requires metal brackets as some megane 1 do.

Re: Engine Swap

the drive shafts just pull out the diff but you will need to at least remove the lower arm or strut to allow you to pull the hubs outwards to allow the shafts the movement needed to come out the diff, if the engine you are fitting is the same model then your old ecu will work fine. i would leave the...
