Re: Springy!!!
Mine's dropped on adjustable H&Rs, didn't measure the exact amount compared to standard, but currently the distance from wheel hub to wheelarch is approx. 320mm both front and rear: http://netti.nic.fi/~gordini/megane/19s_with_centercaps.jpg Tyre size is 225/35R19 which has practically the same ...

Re: Help with Alloy Wheels
Of course physically you CAN put the 19s on without any suspension mods, but after doing that you'll probably soon want to desperately lower your car, though. Will look well "funky" if you don't.... :D Wheels (or tyres) will not touch the arches provided you have chosen the wheel offset an...

Re: 1.6 disc upgrade!!!!
Some (if not all?) versions of the Scenic II have 300mm "normal" front brakes which are 20mm bigger than those on your 1.6 (280mm). Although bigger, they should AFAIK be a straight forward swap where you don't need to change the hubs and such. Just get the calipers off of such a Scenic II,...

Re: Bumper grilles
The last two are original Renault so should be available through any authorised dealer. Both are from some specific equipment versions, unfortunately I don't know which ones, or their part numbers. The first pic is an aftermarket set, a Turkish manufacturer called Omsa makes those in stainless steel...

Re: 6 speed fly wheel
Just out of interest: are we talking about the 1.9 dCi or the 2.0 16V petrol? Or do they both have dual-mass flywheels?
Owning a 2.0 16V six-speeder, I'm a little worried now...
(EDIT: Sorry, didn't notice hocuspocus' profile at first: 1.9dCi)

Re: HID's & Canbus
Yes, I meant I had personal experience only from a Phase 1 and can't say anything sure about the Phase 2. But having just browsed through some French Megane CC forum members' cars, many of the owners seem to have fitted HID kits to their Phase 2s and no-one mentions anything about problems with CAN....

Re: complete newbie :D
Me first mods I am enquiring about is brakes can I just fit drilled and vented straight on or do I need to convert the calipers as well? and which ones are best too fit to the megane within a reasonable amount of money lol :D, Vented AND (through-)drilled rotors are usually not recommended for road...

Re: Megane CC bits and bobs
the sport bumpers are a piece of pish to put on by the way, you can do it for pretty cheap to if you get a bumper of ebay, as i say i put both bumpers on myself, only took about an hour to put them both on and dead easy It's a bit more complicated for the rear as there is no original RS rear bumper...

Re: TheFinn's modded one
Thanks for the feedback guys! :) @Andy_CC: Improving the radio reception is a bit different for the CC as the antenna sits on the bootlid which is made of plastic. I once saw a thread somewhere discussing the reception issue on the CC, can't for the life of me remember where it was though... :( The ...

TheFinn's modded one
So far I've been posting updates of my mods in the Introductions section , but finally realised this is the right section for posting mods. Doh! In the future I'll be posting any new mods under this subject, but first a quick(?) recap of what's happened so far: :D I first fitted a Pioneer DEH-P55BT ...

Re: Crystal rear lights
It seems those lights never materialised, their availability remains "soon" even today.... :-( It's not only Germany, that article number is recognised neither by the Finnish nor the Swedish network. Those would have been manufactured by the giant OEM supplier Valeo, but their "tuning...
