3 Dead Glow Plugs But No Warning Lights
Tested my glow plugs today using a multimeter as i suspected one of them wasn't working, battery read 12.66v from left to right Glow plug No 1 Was 0v Glow plug 2 was 12.65v and Glow plugs 3 and 4 were 0v, I'm just curious as to reading other posts why i had no warning of this such as the 'check inje...

Is it possible to have a faulty glow plug without bringing up the check injection warning light? First start in morning for me puts out a puff of smoke from the exhaust, but after that it's fine also it starts with an awful clatter, you'd near think the engine was going to jump out.

Yeah, mine is still like that when it's cold, but when it's warm it's fine but before i replaced mount it was vibrating also when warm.

Mine had less than 50k miles on it when my mount was diagnosed as collapsed, i never even would have noticed until i seen the new mount(still use the old one as a weight for the lid of my recycling box), Renault told me it is a common problem with the megane, that website also told me the same, i ac...

I got mine online from widaonline.co.uk i think the 1.9dci is coded with the colour green, you don't need to buy the bracket as it can be used again(i assume you mean the piece of metal with the 4 bolts in it?) . Good luck .

yes, it's the one at the top beside the coolant bottle,It was easy to do on my 1.5dci, shouldn't be too much different, i used the haynes manual for instructions .

Not sure to be honest, all i know is that the dephaser is prone to failing, does your revs go up but not the speed ? Clutch slipping?

No, the dephaser is only in the 1.6 engine with variable valve timing.

Sounds like the dephaser pulley indeed, which means you may as well get a new cambelt on too, go onto youtube and search for renault megane dephaser pulley and have a listen for similar sounds. good luck
