Re: Question about few issues

Bob, the inner joint can only be an advise as they cant see the play ! stupid isnt the word and yes the tyre wear is horrendous. The later mk11 seem to have a better joint, my 08 is still on original with slight wear. My 04 went through 3 pairs in the 3 years I had her ! Mind you that was in the day...

Re: Clutch CSC

if you get all the parts from the same supplier and give them your reg number then there should not be a problem with pasrts they supply for you to fit.

Re: rearbrakes

Both go same way. Hope your pad carrier bracket is secured with normal bolts and not torx bolts, all four had to be cut off on mine, could not shift them.

Re: Card reader

Bob, think there was a keyless 1.5 dci, might have been the dynamique S, I ONLY HAD A DYNAMIQUE 2004, my 08 dynamique looses the auto wipers and auto lights, to get those i would have needed an S on an 08 plate. So its possible that his may have keyless. Think the system sends a signal from the key ...

Re: Breakdisks

Re: 1.9 dci

I think bob is on the right track, to fire and run you need ignition fuel and air, diesel n it starts so you got ignition and air, keeping running under load seems to be the area so fuel remains the area. Have you thought about rigging an internal fuel tank in the car to see if it still has problems...

Re: Megane mk3 mpg issues (2009)

Think whats happened is that in order to meet new emission regs the mpg is worse, doesnt make sense but thats my two pence worth. Would be interesting to hear from anyone with the high power 1.5 dci that was fitted to the mk2, my mk2 is a 85bhp and the mk3 was a 110bhp with a six speed box.

Re: New MOT regs

Ok did a bit more research, according to VOSA (DVLa new name) website the emission regs are changing, forf diesels up to july 2008 the limit is 3.0, after july 2008 its 1.5 or whatever is shown on chassis plate if lower. From 2014 its 0.72. Gonna be a lot of cars out there that aint gonna pass, anyo...

Re: New MOT regs

think it has dpf but has never been an issue before, this was mot'd at the end of march and did not fail on emissions, today it scrapes through. Think ill keep it a few more months and then sell it, this mot game is getting too much, dont need the 2nd car now so might get shot.

New MOT regs

Today I decided to take my 08 dci for its mot after all the repairs were completed, 2 front to rear brake pipes, 2 flexi hoses, both rear axle brake pipes, 2 calipers and 2 rear shockers. Today is the first day of the new regs, some of the changes are scary - the new 13 terminal towing socket (didnt...
