Re: Greased Lightning

I've used it and it's not bad. You won't do the whole car in 15 minutes at they like to point out so often, but the results are okay. I would not like to tackle a really dirty car with it, and you need to use large thick microfibre cloth's as well, one to apply and clean and one to polish off. It do...

Re: Bought a Bike - Signs of a Mid Life Crisis! (Pics Added)

Well finally got round to adding a few pics of my new ride. Trouble is I have been diagnosed with Glandular Fever and feel like a bag of boiled S**te, so it's sitting in the garage at the moment :( http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll147/IainMW/100_0427.jpg http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll147/...

Well I have a duff Turbo pressure sensor! Strangely the car is behaving itself at the moment :conf

Part ordered along with a new front proximity sensor as well (goes bonkers when it rains and detects anything in low orbit! :banghead )

Not a Megane problem (Laguna III 2.0dCi 150) but same lump under the hood! Brokedown this morning on the way to Middleton. Car has felt flat for a couple of days and this morning was on the M60 with the cruise control on and I tried to accelerate and overtake (stress the word tried!) Sudden jolt and...

Re: Bought a Bike - Signs of a Mid Life Crisis!

Thanks for the advice, used to scrubbing in tyres on a bike, just not one this big! :D It's got Bridgestones on it that are practically brand new, they have only done 600 miles :grin I have checked out the Triumph owners club forum and they have a list of recommended tyres so will follow that. I tho...

Re: Recommend Oil for 1.9 DCI Megane II (2003)

Yep as dave says get oilman's help but a 5W40 or 0W40 ACEA B4 oil (fully synthetic) will do.

Short journey's not good for an oil so get a good one! Oh and give it a good blast from time to time to clear out the old tubes! :devil

Re: Renault Oil Specs - A question for Oilman?

To my knowledge, the Renault specs are really just a certification that the oil meets the correct ACEA rating, is of the correct viscosity for the engine and is suitable for the service schedule decided for the car. Manufacturer specs do not necessarily exceed ACEA specs, but as most people don't k...

Re: Renault Oil Specs - A question for Oilman?

Hi Tim Thanks for the reply My car was registered on 26th September 2007 so it's probabaly a April/May/June 2007 build (one of the early ones anyway), some way before the 8th October. I was just interested to know what specific criteria the REN specs stipulate over and above the ACEA standards?
