Re: Losing oil? "Top Up Oil"
no, use fully synth 5w40 for it. I changed my oil at the weekend, it cost me 32quid just for the oil and filter from opieoils after the club discount. If they can do it for 25quid they might aswel be using pish to lubricate you engine. Spend abit more on oil now and alot less on repairs later

Re: New owner of Megane Sport Hatch 1.9dCi
225 wheels probably wont fit either, i believe they are all 5stud, yours most likely will be 4.
Word of warning with the 1.9 DCI, get its oil changed every 9k NOT 18k or you will end up with an expensive turbo repair bill.

Re: Losing oil? "Top Up Oil"
check your coolent see if it looks normal, along with the top of the oil filler for white gunk, either meaning the head gasket has gone, allowing oil and coollent to mix. You could be burning oil but if your getting no white / blue smoke it cant be much. There is noway i would be leaving it 18k betw...

Re: How easy is it to self service a megane?
what engine are you working on? Get a haynes manual, that will talk you through doing a service yourself. Its pretty easy to do really once youve got the right equipment. You will need a spark plug socket on 99% of engines. You may also need a key for the sump plug. Some are a funny shape some are a...

Re: turbo gone
Got the car back last night, complete with a refurbished turbo fitted. Total cost was £639 :( I'm nervous about putting my foot down, does the turbo have a run in period? Ive done about 30miles in it so far and it feels ok. Ive been driving my missus' RX8 for the last week so it feels so slow in com...

Re: HOW TO REMOVE AIR FiLTER/AIR FLOW BOX?
its not easy. You need to remove the battery, and the pipe that feeds the airbox from under the grill, along with the jubellee clip that connects the pipe from the turbo to the airbox. Its very fiddly. In my opinion its completely pointless, your much better off pulling a replacement panel filter in...
