Hi,
there may be bleed screws you haven't found.
Take a look on you tube at a Scenic under 'renault coolant airlock', see if yours is similar.

Re: ELF EVOLUTION SXR 5W-30
Hi,
I'm sure it would be fine.
In my car now having done 170k l do put 10/40 as it's a bit worn, still goes well though.
The lower number is the viscosity when hot, the higher when cold, Elf is a good name.
Main thing is to do oil changes and don't neglect, many do and come unstuck.

Re: Oil dipstick casing
Hi, can't find a picture of it, but l think it's a metal tube type like l had on a Clio once. The tube can be removed though it's not easy. You'll see on you tube a couple of ways to do it without removing the tube but it depends somewhat on how far down and how tight it is. If its fairly tight and ...

Re: Front bearings
All the electronics and this kind of stuff is what can make motoring a nightmare nowadays.
Just an intermittent poor contact or broken wire can cost a lot of time and money.
Glad it's sorted.

Re: Megane II timing belt size
Hi, the old belt will have been stretched a little and sometimes I have had this problem. Across the cams has to be tight and also down to the crank. It will only edge on to the sprockets. The main tip is, ONCE IT'S ON YOU MUST TURN THE ENGINE OVER TWICE WITH A SPANNER BY HAND USING THE CRANK BOLT T...

Re: Megane 2 1.5 dci bad running
Hi, if it is intermittent and not all the time, the chances are it's electrical bad connection somewhere, even a broken wire. Sometimes a wire can break inside it's plastic covering and can only be found by testing continuity, very hard to find. Look on you tube about testing continuity if you don't...

Re: Megane 2 1.5 dci bad running
Hi, this code can be triggered by many things but if l were you l would :- Check for air in system and while engine is running, bleed the injectors. If not done lately, replace fuel filter and check old one for metal bits with a magnet. Make sure it is bled properly and check with a clear pipe on th...

Re: Front bearings
The abs ring nowadays is prone to this, it looks like a plastic ring and does come with the bearing.
I would guess the garage is right and has to be eliminated, after that it would have to be the sensor itself.
As the bearing is quiet it's just bad luck.
