Air Conditioning pulsing - could it be blocked?

About a year ago I had my air conditioning regassed, and it worked OK, but the coolant has all leaked out, despite me using it 15 mins a week since. Yesterday it went to the main dealer (still under warranty) to see if they could diagnose where the leak was coming from - I think that the system need...

Re: Range Computer Problem now!

I've never seen it display under 70 miles left - mine goes from that kind of range when the warning comes on to "---" shortly after. I'd suggest trying another reset of the trip computer as a first step.

Re: second hand tyres

If you're still looking for a solution then this may be of interest. Yesterday afternoon I was having 2 new front tyres as the old ones were almost down to the minimum gauge (Michelin Energy's still gripping fine even when wet). Anyway, there was a guy in asking if they had any used tyres of a certa...

Re: second hand tyres

Even assuming the "Pitch Circle Diameter" is the same, I wouldn't expect them to fit as the Megane will have come with 15" or 16" wheels in the first place - this is to fit larger brake discs. Therefore a 13" wheel probably wouldn't mount over the disc. If they were to fit, ...

Re: A question of depreciation

I'm guessing somewhere between 6 and 8 years. Mostly it would depend on condition and mileage than outright age. Diesel residuals have held better than petrol of late, with smaller cars depreciating less too.

Re: 1.5dci 106 dynamique

The only thing of note is that the dCi 106 engine can spring a leak in the fuel return. I had mine fixed last year under warranty, so I'd hope that if the car you're looking at was going to leak, it would have done so and been fixed already. I'm guessing the car in question is a very late 55 reg to ...

Re: New member with question

If you're buying brand new, then make sure you get the automatic wiper/lights. Renault changed the spec a while back from having them as standard to not.

Re: Headlamp Alignment

If you find the beam pattern when close to a wall (or anything similar you can use) is anything other than \__, then the bulb isn't correctly mounted in the holder. On my facelifted 06 (ie without the clip that holds the H7 bulb in) I managed to incorrectly insert both bulbs and had terrible dipped ...

Now it says there are 4 Stigs... I find it entertaining without caring who the Stig that day actually is.

Re: performance on 1.4

Last year I had a courtesy Corsa 1.4 Design while my wife's old-shape Corsa 1.2 Design Easytronic was in for a service. Like you I wasn't impressed - very sluggish unless revved hard. And that wasn't easy to do as the pedals were offset and the seat so hard my legs hurt... A world away from my dCi!!

Re: Sport Tourer Fuel Tank

The trip computer (at least on my facelifted 06) has a fuel used reading in gallons. 13.2 gallons is 60l, so if you reset the trip computer at fill-up, you can tell how much fuel has been used. I've managed a fill of just over 56l, for well over 700 miles worth of driving...

Re: Fitting a headlamp bulb

Perhaps try washing the mud off around the flap (being careful of course - so no high pressure hose), to free it up. I've been having some trouble with the offside/drivers dipped beam bulb. Once I got access it was OK to replace, but the beam pattern wasn't right. Finally after a week of trying each...

Re: Diesel vs Petrol

There are 4 types of transmission that I know of: ⋅ Manual, where the driver depresses the clutch and moves the gear stick ⋅ Automatic, where a torque converter somehow knows when to change up/down and can be told to hold a gear (I don't know much about them) ⋅ Semi-Aut...
