Hello Brian, i would take the whole motor/regulator assembly out of the door, then try a 12v supply from a battery and see if the motor works, that should get around any fuse/wiring faults in the vehicle. Regards Damian.

Hello, in my Haynes manual for my 2004 Scenic 1.9 dCi, they quote New discs at 8.0mm and Minimum thickness at 6.5mm, hope this helps, regards Damian.

Hello, the price for a Genuine Renault one is not that bad, if you get a factors one, make sure its a Mahle or branded one, regards Damian.

Hello, yes you do put it down the dipstick hole. You have to pour it slowly (it takes a while !) and once you have about 4 litres in it, then wait about 5-10 minutes for the oil to drain into the sump. Then you can start it up, check the level once it has run up, and then add more if required. Hope ...

Hello, i think FAP came out around 2004/2004, so thats not a problem. It will be a F9Q engine, so that should be OK as well, regards Damian.

Here are the part numbers, O/F - 8200 867 980, S/Washer 8200 641648. I have a 2004 1.9 dCi Scenic, without a FAP filter, the engine code is F9Q 812. Hope this helps, regards Damian.

Hello, i use a good quality fully synthetic 5W40 in my 2004 1.9 dCi, and always use a Genuine Renault oil filter, they are not that expensive in the first place, regards Damian. :-) thanks for that, how much is, not that expensive? we talking sub £10? if its that id rather use genuine Renault aswel...

im going to service the DCI on saturday, I am planning on using Castrol Edge Turbo Diesel 5W40 i believe this is the standard rating for this engine? Has anyone tried 0w30 instead? Are there any others than will do a better job? Also which filter is the best to use, is there any difference between ...
