Re: Potential 225 owner
I'm not aware of any 225 - specific issues, but Mégane 2s are plagued with electrical issues. Water gets into the door and window controllers, and the box behind the wheelarch leading to all kinds of trouble. You will be hard pressed to find a car with all the windows working.. Central locking and k...

Re: Cheap Megane CC - Roof Issues - Buy?
Right. I have had a look at the car. Looks great (mostly). But the driver's side window does not work, do the roof does not come down. It also has "service", "air bag", and the engine symbol lit up. Couldn't find my code reader. New one on order. Engine cuts out until it warms up...

Re: Cheap Megane CC - Roof Issues - Buy?
Well. This is becoming a saga.. I missed out on buying the CC with the broken roof.. Until today. An identical one has appeared on FB, but in a different town, but still local. He reckons his wife has had it for 8 years, and the roof doesn't work because the temic in the driver's door is dead. Also,...

Cheap Megane CC - Roof Issues - Buy?
Firstly, I already have a Megane 2, so I know what I'm getting into.. Right. I have spotted a Megane 2 CC for silly money, but "the roof doesn't work - don't know why".. I'm really tempted to go for it, if only as a distraction from the other crap I have going on at the moment. I have the ...

Re: Emergency key please check before purchase
Hands free key loses the will to transmit so door wont open this is usually due to the crapy megane key being to soft and to big do not put in back pocket and sit down key flexes and circuit board pops its chips. It will still work in slot and start car unless its completely knackered. If it starts...

Re: Passenger side front and rear window stopped working
Just noticed that you said it affected front and back?
There are separate fuses for each front window, but the rears share a fuse. So, blowing one fuse would not affect front and back.
All three are in the mini fusebox inside the glove box,

Re: Passenger side front and rear window stopped working
Sounds like a fault in the window mechanism.
You'll have to dismantle the door to find out, I'm afraid. Or someone will.
I hope the window isn't stuck open?
Whatever you do, don't take it to a Renault dealer.

My neighbour has the same issue. Her solution is to climb in from inside the car.

Electric Windows Nightmare Ends!
Ok. I should have done this as several posts, as the nightmare unfolded, but I didn't, so here it is as one post.. Introduction. The back window, passenger side (nsr) has never worked. The front passenger side (nsf) one used to hunt up and down, but eventually closed. The drivers front (osf) works f...

Re: REPLACED BATTERY IN KEY FOB.NOW NOT WORKING
Fob should be ok. You might have to use the manual lock to get in and pop the bonnet though. Maybe get the battery checked/replaced asap. Hopefully it's not an alternator issue..

Re: Rubbish headlights
The old ones are crap as well. my 2005 might as well have candles on the bonnet. The fog lights help a bit, but yep - crap.
