Re: bad pick up

Commonly called TDC sensor its to the right of the engine, under the two oil plugs.
On a semi circular bracket.
I will try to take a pic later but yes its two bolts and a cable disconnect.
It's possible to do it blind but tricky.

Re: bad pick up

If you find it feeling like it's misfiring at idle and the car is shaking try whipping your crank sensor off, clean the rust and crap off with a little Emery paper and this may be a good fix.

Snow

So I made the fatal mistake of not covering the car last night knowing it was going to snow.
Seats are pi$$ wet this morning.
Damm this contraption! :life

Re: 04 megane scenic idle problem

Sorry, insufficient data. :-( According to Haynes wiring diagram (Which have just made me realise I need glasses!) ---- The fuel pump has a yellow wire , the level sensor has orange and brown. Beyond that I don't know What was the fuse number or label? Have you checked with an OBD2 module for codes?

Re: Alarm randomly going off

Press and hold the central lock button for 5-7 seconds after opening the door until it clunks.
When you shut the door all doors lock, no alarm.

Re: 04 megane scenic idle problem

Which fuse was the melted wire for? Had the fuse blown?
Maybe something,(fuel pump possibly) is drawing too much current.

Re: Rear electric windows

Do the windows go down if you take the roof down? Have you tried the wd40 trick to get rid of water in the window control module? Mine did the same thing and I contacted a very helpful chap who repaired the window modules for me. He also gave me some tremendous advice when I was replacing them. I ca...

Re: 04 megane scenic idle problem

Strange you have no error codes, what are you using to check? Now I'm only putting ideas here and I ain't no expert but: Loose wire? Causing immediate cutout to ECU and no recording of error. Did the car startup fine before you changed the crank sensor? Have you double checked the wiring to the fuse...

Strange LTFT Behaviour

Hi, (First post so go easy on me) Megane II CC 2005 1.6 Petrol. I have now tried 4 different (Bluetooth and wifi) OBD2 readers with Torque and an Autel MaxiScan MS509 handheld device and they all give me the same results for my Long Term Fuel Trim. It shows one of the three values currently s...

Re: New owner 2006 Megane cc 2006

I see nobody has answered but it's recommended to change the water pump at the same time as the timing belt.
Good luck
