Re: Leaking Coolant
Welcome to the M2OC. You might have a leak from a hose where it connects to the radiator which you can solve by tightening the clip up. You may also have a hole in your radiator. The pool by the tyre might not indicate where the leak is, the coolant might have run across other parts before dripping ...

I've seen 3 of them in the last week. I've also noticed a great price on the Dealdrivers website.

Re: help please........
Welcome to the club. This might be dephaser pulley problems which many forum members have suffered on their 1.6VVT engines. Hopefully someone who has had this problem can enlighten you further. Somewhere on this forum there is a recording of the sound made by a failed dephaser but you would have to ...

Re: what size alloys?
If you put bigger wheels on your car you can use a tyre calculator to ensure that the overall circumference of the tyre stays close to the original. This will keep your speedo accurate. Here is an example: https://www.alloywheels.com/tyrecalc.asp If you fit non standard alloy wheels note that the of...

Re: Whining noise from accelerator when at high speeds
I forgot to mention in my previous comment that my tappet rattle also happens when you rev in neutral. I have also had people ask if my car is a diesel when they hear it idling, that tells you how bad the tappet rattle is.

Re: Just about to buy an 08 plate 1.4 dynamique
The 1.4 does not have variable valve timing (VVT) so at least you won't have problems with a faulty dephaser pulley. I think build quality has improved since the early models but at least you'll have a couple of years worth of warranty to fall back on if anything does go wrong. As for pencil coils a...

Welcome to the club. Your vehicle will probably be a phase 2 or facelift Megane II and can be identified by the different shape of the front grill. The headlights might look the same as the phase 1 but they are not interchangable.

Have a look through the fuel consumption 'sticky' at the top of this section. It will show you what mpg people get from their various models.
