As this is a known issue I would want Renault to pay for any repairs needed to my car regardless of whether is was in or out of warranty.
As Dave say's don't worry about it.
I could be wrong but I think Renault issued a recall in relation to this?

Re: Running lumpy
Do you mean the engine sounds like it's running on 3 cylinder or do you just get a lot of vibration through the car at idle? This could be a number of things but more info might help the diagnosis. Mileage, service history, any other problems or warning light etc... It only does it when it's hot? If...

Australia for Foreigners These were posted on an Australian Tourism Website and the answers are the actual responses by the website officials, who obviously have a great sense of humour (not to mention a low tolerance threshold for cretins!) Q: Does it ever get windy in Australia ? I have never see...

Re: Notchy Gear Change
It can be normal for some Meganes.
A change of gear oil might help ease the problem?
Welcome along BTW

Re: I NEED A LOT OF HELP WITH MY CAR!!
What mileage has the car done and what sort of oil have you been using in it? I've not heard about turbo's failing on 225's before but obviously it does and has happened to you. Having never seen under the bonnet of a 225 I don't know where the turbo is located and how tight space is, but I am surpr...

Re: Mystery performance loss
My previous Laguna 2.0dCi used to display a similar trait but after I had been sitting or driving in slow moving traffic. Slow response to the throttle and then lots of power all of a sudden accompanied with a big cloud of black smoke! Mentioned this to the dealer when I had it serviced last...

Re: Clutch Query
If you are not happy with the service then you need to complain in writting to the MD of the dealership and Renault UK, their address is on the forum. Given that you are experiencing other problems following the clutch replacement I suggest this is the course of action you take. The clutch fitted co...

Re: Rattle from dashboard, advice needed
Remove the radio and the plastic cubby hole below it and pad it out with thin (1-3mm) self adhesive window draft excluder foam tape, this should hopfully stop it ? (did on mine and my dad's anyway)

Re: Clutch Query
What mileage has your car done and are you in the UK? If your Megane is a 2007 model (you mention in another post) and you are in the UK then the car would have been under warranty unless you've topped 60,000 miles? Did you get the clutch replaced by a reputable garage or just a mechanic you know? I...

Re: Steering very light, possible to adjust?
Sadly no.
All Megane's have electrical (opposed to hydraulic) power steering and it is very light at low speeds, parking and around town but is supposed to weight up as speed increases.

Dead easy to change, whole light unit comes out, have a read of your owners manual for instructions.
May have just been a dodgy bulb, and as for a sign off things to come, who knows?
My dads has been trouble free since he bought it last May.
