Re: Acc outlet not working - Cold/Water

Hello kmg102 in Belgique/Belgie! I am not aware of your previous posts but my suggestion would be to invest in a small digital multimeter, about a fiver from ebay. It would have "multi" uses (excuse the pun) one of which would be to measure the voltage if any, at your accessory socket. I s...

Re: Injection Fault & STOP 1.5 DCI

What a spotless engine Steve - and look at that pump. You could eat your dinner off it! Good luck with your leak-off mods. I await the outcome with interest. Regarding the ball bearing under the injector union nut, this is a trick I learned many moons ago. Some folk might be fearful of damage to inj...

Re: Low engine performance after turbo use

Hello Sofia, your problem is intriguing. Has it been resolved or can you add any more info? How many miles on the clock? I gather that your car is a mark3.
Being a dinosaur I had to Google Dipthane. Never heard of it!

Re: Car won't start

Hello Tuskers, a couple of weeks gone and nothing further heard from you. Clearly you were expecting urgent help from this Forum and this was not forthcoming unfortunately. Did you resolve the problem? Do you have only one keycard (most Meganes have only one because of the cost). If not, did you try...

Re: pi~~@d off

Hard luck Radioman - many commiserations. Supermarket car parks are some of the worst places to leave your pride and joy (which it clearly is). Park it miles away from other cars and an errant trolley, possibly pushed by a child, will find its mark. This is why I drive around in a beaten-up and scra...

Re: No Electrics

Welcome Bryan. We don't usually get Scenic probs here and for me it is a new experience! Books have been written on this Forum (some by me!) over the years. Water in the UCP was, I thought, a problem with early megane 2 and this was rectified fairly early on by better sealing of the lid of the UCP (...

Re: Injection Fault & STOP 1.5 DCI

Wow Steve that is a hell of a pressure! Made me feel jealous! You had a great find there!! I like your suggestions for returning the leak-off fuel to the tank thus by-passing the filter. As you say, leak-off fuel from the pump cavity will heat the fuel and the longer heating period should not be an ...

Re: "Check injection" after changing injectors

Don't bother reading that thread - it will take all week! Let's cut to the chase and sort your problems! The level 2 warning (STOP - injection fault) that you experienced to begin with whilst the engine was under load is symptomatic of low fuel rail pressure. As you depressed the accelerator pedal f...

Re: wont start/crank df 07 df025

Hi Nick, another member passing time on Xmas day! DF007 is rail pressure sensor circuit fault. There are possibly 5 reasons for this but the engine cannot be restarted and warning level 1 appears on the display "injection fault" DF 025 relates to the glow plug relay which in itself will no...

Re: Engine temperature question 1.5dCi

Hello there, a nice cheery message on Xmas day! You say you are clueless, and I don't mean to offend but have you checked the water level in your expansion tank??!! Your two problems are most likely connected and are not a common problem with Meganes. Glad to hear you are enjoying the car. Make the ...

Re: Injection Fault & STOP 1.5 DCI

Steve you have done a jolly good job there. A lot of grease monkeys (even in the trade) will not touch Meganes especially the 1.5 DCI. Monitoring the Forum problems reveals that there are more issues with the 1.5 than the 1.9 or the petrol versions. I came to the conclusion long ago that the Bosch s...

Re: Aircon compressor, 1.5dci

Hello again. As the aircon light comes on this shows that all is well in the power department. Get the system regassed and that should solve the problem - I am very confident. Regarding a diagnostic system, don't mess about with cheap code readers as they will be unable to contact the injection comp...

Re: Aircon compressor, 1.5dci

Hola Elvago! Clearly there is nowt wrong with your compressor but don't let it run too long or it could be damaged by lack of oil. Have you checked the fuses? You could check the bottom fuse and the second from top in the passenger compartment but TBH if these are faulty, other accessories will fail...

Re: Injection Fault & STOP 1.5 DCI

Hi folks. This has been an interesting saga. To me these are familiar paths, having wrestled with level 1 warnings (check injection) and level 2 warnings (STOP - injection fault) all the years we have owned the car.( I look after all the family cars - see my profile, all high mileage, old, common ra...
