Re: Megane Sport Tourer
Any tips on any common faults I should be looking out for? Window regulators (when electric windows go down of their own accord) are common across the whole Megane range and Renault may contribute when a repair is outside of warranty. On the dCi106 I had a small fuel return pipe leak that is a know...

Re: Megane Sport Tourer
Hi Mike, Sorry, I don't know about the headlights. I'm very happy with my tourer. The space (520l under the luggage cover) is great, and there are some nice touches (eg retractable window blinds on rear door windows, electronic child door/window locks, auto wipers). I chose the dCi106 as sometimes I...

Re: Head lamp replacement
There is no clip on facelifted (06 on) MkII's. And I found it a right pain to get the beam pattern correct after replacing - but it is possible.

Re: Renault Prams
Do you mean the old fashioned prams (think Silver Cross that came back into fashion a few years ago), or a normal pushchair? There's loads of options, but I find "Phil & Teds" are really well designed for everyday use despite bing more off-road orientated in looks. I think they even do...

Re: MOT failure rates
There was some comments on this at Autocar. The figures are for 20,000 MOTs of a particular model, and there are plenty of models with under 20,000 examples that had an MOT in 2007 and did worse than the Megane. When my own Megane had its first MOT last year it would have failed before the track arm...

Re: MPG on Megane Tech Run dCi 1.5 106 bhp
What tyres are on each car? I changed from Michelin Energy's to Goodyear Excellence earlier this year (when unemployed) and the mpg has got a lot worse (mostly because I now have a short urban commute than a longer extra-urban one before). The Goodyear's are no good, other than in the cold, snow icy...

Re: Seatbelt extender
Thanks Alan,
Can't find one on Kiddicare, but have seen some elsewhere. I was really wondering if anyone knew of one that definatly would fit the Megane rear outer seatbelts - I don't really want to have to buy several tp find none of them work with the buckle and holder!

Seatbelt extender
I wondering if anyone knows if such a thing exists. My eldest son is now in a stage 2 car seat, and that uses the inertia belt. However on the Megane it's a right pain to get the belt buckle into the holder in the rear seat, especially when my wife's corsa has the holders raised out of the seat maki...

Re: Renault - totally unsympathetic
the economy figures for the 106 car were almost identical. Don't be fooled. The 106 car is 15%-20% less fuel efficient, adding significantly to the running costs. I drive this car in the same way and over the same journeys as the previous one but unfortunately, cannot reach anything like the same m...

Re: Renault Service - West Sussex?
Hello, i have used SMC in the past. I always deal with a really nice service guy called Kyle Bonner, i believe that he is now at the Woking Branch. He did me a good price on my 2004 Scenic when it needed the cambelt service. Hope this helps, regards Damian. :-) I got my Megane from SMC's now closed...
