Re: Dynamique Headlights

On the facelift model from 06 to present, the auto headlights and wipers became an optional extra! Not quite. My facelifted May 06 has auto lights and wipers, and no CC. I know my mother-in-law's June 07 Scenic has CC but not auto lights and wipers. So it's sometime etween the two when the spec cha...

Re: Wrong Mirror Switch!

Do you mean the control joystick that sits on the drivers door? If so, I can't see any reason why the superiour one would cause you any problems, other than possibly having a different connection somewhere.

Re: road tax

It actually depends on the weight of the car, and how that affects the C02 output. As far as I know the dCi106 3 door can be had with the panoramic roof and still duck into the £35 a year bracket. The 5 door without the panoramic roof is £35, but with the panoramic roof is up a bracket. The tourer, ...

Re: Possible New Owner

I'm thinking of buying a late 2004 Megane II 5 door 1.4 with 46K miles. Is there any particular issues I should look out for? It only has 2.5 months MOT left is this a worry?. What mileage does the timing belt need replaced or is that relavent for this model? Usual advice for the timing belt is 60k...

Re: Fuel consumption getting worse... :-(

Has your driving changed? More town driving? Are the tyres the same, still at or above the rated pressures? What fuel do you use?

Re: Megane cc boot floor

The only thing I can think of would be to look at other Megane's that have spare tyres (my tourer does), and compare what they have, and see if that would fit. Having never seen the boot of a CC, I can't offer further advice.

Re: Tyres for a hard working diesel

If you've achieved 78Mm (millions of metres) which is ~48k miles on a single set of tyres, I'd suggest getting the same as was on there. :D

For economy, Michelin Energy's (OEM on my Meg) are good. Cheap hard tyres should give a long life (but poor grip).

Re: Update List/Connect2 CTARNS003 Compatibility Issue

Looks like the CTARNS003 is designed to interface between the Head Unit (UpdateList and its VDO digital protocol - S/PDIF format audio) and a Sony CD-Changer. If you are not connecting it to a Sony CD-Changer, or anything that talks the same protocol, then it won't work. It depends on what you're co...

Re: steam?

Any smell of diesel? Any left on the ground after the car's been there? Last year my dCi106 had a fuel return problem (fixed under warranty) and sometimes I saw a little vapourised diesel escaping from the bonnet.

Other than that, check all fluid levels incase something's amiss...
