Re: Scraping noise when going round corners
If it's only when going round corners it's likely something is catching, like the tyre on the arch, or possibly a cv joint?

Cam sensor error. Wales Ding. OBD reader woes.
I just got my Megane back from the repairers after a ding during my latest 600-mile Wales round-trip. Didn't miss a beat the whole way. Got it back after a week and we had the MIL light and the word "service" lit up. Got it cleared by my local cheapie garage, and all was well for two days,...

Re: Broken driver's side parcel shelf fold-out wing thingie
The blower fan thing is a common problem. The resistor matrix has blown, which is why it is only working on one setting (straight through, no resistance). You can get the part from eBay, but make sure you get the right one. The one for aircon cars is different than the one without, I think. This is ...

Clutch Replacement.
I've just done another 650+ mile round trip from Teesside to South Wales to pick up my daughter from Uni.. Driving a Megane with a dicky clutch. It's fine going up hills and stuff in low gears. Even stalls if you get it wrong. BUT. Accelerating in 4th/5th, I have to VERY careful, as it starts to sli...

Re: Upload pictures
Not really. There are loads of free image hosting sites. Upload your pics and link to them.
Hosting images takes lots of disk space, and costs money. This forum is free, so costs are kept to a minimum.

Re: Is this a temic issue?
Finally, I found a direct replacement temic unit, which does close the window when you double-click the lock button.. Direct Replacement Temic Unit I contacted the seller to make sure, and he confirmed this. If you look at his ebay shop, he specialises in Renault window issues, this unit costs a bit...

Re: Is this a temic issue?
Update: it says deep down in the listing that it works on both front and rear, so either it doesn't work on double-click, OR it's in China..

Re: Is this a temic issue?
I got in touch with the seller of this temic replacement https://image.pushauction.com/0/0/e3fe6731-2770-463d-88a4-004b3ad3415b/6bacdcd2-da75-433f-a851-d152f0fe7929.jpg and asked them a few questions: 1. Does this work on the front AND back doors? 2. Does it work with the car's "double-click&qu...

Re: Is this a temic issue?
Depends on how much hassle it is to strip a door..
I have seen replacement "cube" modules, but also cheap replacement temic units. If these check out, I may try one on the rear door window as that's never worked.

Is this a temic issue?
The passenger front window has gone insane! Occasionally, I find it completely wound down, and it's started making chugging noises when I start the car up. On Saturday, it went crazy. Wouldn't close properly, kept opening about an inch every time I closed it. It seems to have got over it now but.. D...

Re: Bulbs
No idea what fits, but I understand why you want to upgrade. My Megane's headlamps are no better than candles. Make sure the wiring can cope.. my XR2 lamps used to make the wiring stink like fish, because it couldn't cope with the load. I think led lamps may need ballast resistors, too.. research ne...
