Re: Timing Belt and Air-Con
Yes but if the pressure sensor is reporting low gas (whether thats true or not) it will no engage compressor. Its a common fault. You can get to it through the wheel arch I think. Get the wheel off and the arch liner and have a look. It could be an unplugged connector perhaps

If everything normally serviceable has been changed, fuel filter, air filter, plugs etc then try disconnecting the battery for half an hour to reset the ECU.

Not much gain to be had from mapping a 1.6, pretty much the same as with all N/A Renault engines

Re: Timing Belt and Air-Con
It's pretty simple, you turn the aircon on and about 10 seconds later the compressor clutch engages (which you should be able to hear if you listen carefully). If it doesnt then it could well be the refrigerant pressure sensor - when low it prevents the compressor engaging. As others have said it is...

Re: Will a Tuner List cd changer work with an Update List radio
Yes it will work. Make sure you take the linking cable out of the old car too. You will also need the code of the original headunit that it was connected to.

Re: Tax per year for Diesels in the UK
In the UK the rate of road tax is based on the amount of CO2 the car emits.
The 1.9 emits more than the 1.5 therefore the tax is higher. My car for instance (2.0t RenaultSport) is £220 a year.
