There is that possibility. Theres a fair few cars out there which have to be repaired before being sold (i.e before even being registered) but its unlikely.

You can try resetting it but I suspect even if this worked its on its way out eventually. I'm not so sure the reset is gonna help you buy try it, its free. No the window regulators pretty straight forward once the door cards off.

Ummm theres only one setting for auto wipers which is the second notch. You can adjust how sensetive it is. Moving it beyond this second notch gives you the manual wipers with set speeds.
