Clutch renewed
I have a 57 reg Megane, on friday the clutch was changed under warranty after only 16000 miles. Today there was an almighty crunch and the car veered to the left, the drive shaft has come out and there's oil all over the engine bay. Luckily my wife with 17 month old baby was only doing 20-30mph, if ...

Whiring noise
My 57 reg megane (1.4 16v) has developed a slight whirring noise. The noise is more noticeable at higher speeds, 60 - 70 mph. The noise stops when the clutch pedal is pressed. Does it sound like a clutch/gearbox problem ? I will take it to Renault in the new year as the car is still under warranty -...

Re: Squealing noise from brake discs in motion!!!!
Had service the other day. They checked the brakes and said the pads and discs were in good condition. With being low mileage (7800) this will be the cause as brake dust will build up. They said that if i continue to do low mileage the problem will keep coming back. I bet they would have said exactl...

Re: What are good cc colours?
Your pic shows a silver CC ? I have a Pearl Black Megane Hatchback, Black would be my choice for a CC too. This may sound daft but........ the main reason I chose black was because I hate the way manufacturers fit black bumpers and black side protection strips to coloured cars, so I thought go for b...

Re: Dynamique 1.5 DCI (106)
Possibly was mis-lead because they had to get rid of the 1.2 16v's but I don't regret it - good engine for the clio. But being mis-lead doesn't alter the fact the person I know with the megane tourer which is a 1.5dci says it's very poor. However everyone has their own opinion, If i was going to buy...

Re: Squealing noise from brake discs in motion!!!!
I've got same problem on 57 reg Megane, only done 7000miles but started at around 6000miles. It's in the garage at the end of the month for first year service, (£230 for an oil and filter change, could do it myself if it wasn't for the warranty) They only squeal when you apply the foot brake though....

Re: Dynamique 1.5 DCI (106)
Yeah I think the sport tourer was the 86, so not surprising it lacks power for the size of the car.

Re: Dynamique 1.5 DCI (106)
When I was in the showroom buying the clio I was advised against the 1.5dci, they recommend the 1.2 16v engine for the clio as they said the dci lacked power. If the 1.5dci lacked power in a clio, I didn't even consider it with the Megane. I know someone with the Megane 1.5dci sport tourer (estate) ...

Service and brakes
I own a 57 reg megane (1 year old in september) the dash said 11000 miles til next service. I have just received a letter to say the service is due and the dash now says service due. When I contacted Nationwise Autocentre they say it's not due until 18000 miles or 2 years. Does anyone know which is ...

Hi
Hi, I own a 57 reg, pearl black Megane, 1.4 16v Extreme.
My last car was a 54 reg Clio Extreme and just fancied something abit bigger. I enjoy driving the Megane, it's very comfortable and the 1.4 engine is good (enough for what i need). I don't enjoy cleaning the alloys though
