Re: Cigarette Lighter not working - Fuse question

Having the same problem but changed the fuse with the original spare one and it blew straight away. A trip to the robbing gigs known as halfords to buy some fuses is my next job.

Re: Stickies for fuel consumption

On a steady run I get mid 30's for my 2 litre. Its a thirsty big beast but love my car to bits so will have to put up with it. I have started putting in Redex and will be putting in Slick 50 into the engine when I get paid next to give it a helping hand with the mpg. Mind you most of my driving is a...

Re: gear stick knob and gator removal

just had the exact same problem. You must buy the gaitor and the surround as the one item. You cant just buy the surround as the gaitor is stapled to the surround. I paid £32 (Including vat) from my local renault dealiership for the part. Easy way to remove the gaitor is to use a stanley knife and s...

Re: boot

I had the same sort of problem in another car. Might be completely wrong but it sounds like the latch is knackered. I had to get into the boot from the back of my car and remove the boot panel. That will allow you to open your boot Its not really that hard to do but being 6 foot four its kinda cramp...

Re: Gaiter Surround

Didnt know they were that cheap as I had heard in excess of £40 which I thought was a bit steep for what it was. Cheers I'll give my local garage a phone and get one ordered.

Spark Plugs

Rather than be robbed by my local garage I'm going to dust down the overalls and get myself a Haynes Manual. Being charged almost £60 to change spark plugs is a bit much. But before I head onto ebay or nip down to Halfords can anyone a make or manufacturer ? I've got a 55plate 2litre if it helps. Ch...

Re: Bike rack/carrier

I am a serious cyclist and do approx 6000m a year. I would not even think about putting a bike on the back. I just dont trust them. No one in my club (quick plug of https://www.ekroadclub.co.uk) uses them. I bought the renault aero bars for just over £100 from my renault dealership and thule 591 bar...
