Thanks everyone for the advice. Just called the AA and they came out found the problem straight away was just the one coil misfiring. i bought all 4 coils and plugs from my local parts shop for £100 and the AA bloke fitted them free of charge. So a tip for anyone thats with AA or RAC try them first ...

The light starts off flashing then stays on.
Its not under warranty that finished in march so don't know what to do. Is it only a renault dealer that can sort this problem or can i take it to a local garage?
