Re: Newbie in Sweden

Hi, Wanda, I haven't quite worked the tyres thingy out. I can't drive in Germany on them, for example, or if I get the ferry back to blighty it's ok to drive on summer tyres. To me that's largely academic because I doubt I'd get as far as the border without crashing! In the winter I drive like a gra...

Re: Newbie in Sweden

Maybe I should bring some in next time I come home I definitely need something as agile and flexible as a ferret to get in and change those headlamp bulbs. Re: Newbie in Sweden

Stranger, Robznet, Thanks for the welcome. When I can find them I've got some pics of the car on spiked tyres out in the snow & ice  Inspired by Iceman I now have a Kenwood double din to 'drop' into it, too, as with the SatNav, the Phone holder, the PDA, the iPod and the BT I can't see ...

Re: Newbie in Sweden

Hi Dee, Lots of the cars in Sweden have mains powered engine water (or engine oil) heaters and a fan heater in the footwell. You plug it in to the mains on a timer so that it's warm when you get to it in the morning, or you plug it into a socket at your parking place at work. Takes the stress off a ...

Re: Kenwood Double Din in my Megane

This looks very impressive, and is close to convincing me to part with some of the hard earned (and heavily taxed :cry ) cash.
As a complete noob, I can't click on the link to where you got the double din adapter from and have midded the one on fleabay.
Could somebody let me know......

Thanks
