Sorry - unable to upload image and mods not replying to my request for assistance. I'm beginning to wonder if this site is defunct? Answers to FAQ's seem to suggest you need Administrator permission to upload images.

Head technician at local Renault dealer did not know the answer so he challenged his colleagues for a solution. One bright lad came up with the answer straightaway, so now all sorted. I will try and upload an image if I can suss out how to do that

Thank you - there is always something new to learn! Have sussed out where to get it from and that is a really helful tip much appreciated. Pity the auto designers don't think of these practical things when creating all their clever features which become so expensive to replace.

Glad I read this thread as wife's car is now 7 years old and will just fit into the criteria for a subsidised fix from Renault. Have checked with dealer re availability of replacement regulators to be informed that they are on "back order" and not able to forecast when they will be back in...
