Put masking tape on the bumper before you drill the holes and you should get a nice clean edge

Main thing with that many miles is to check that it has had it's cam and auxiliary belts done

Each valve wil have a different coloured ring around it. Also there will be a sticker on the door hinge somewhere saying which goes where

Hold the door locking button (inside the car) down until it beeps. That'll turn the auto-locking on when you start moving

Get a fully synthetic oil, not sure on the grade for your engine though. You can't regas your aircon though unless you have high pressure equipment

Has the 1.5 got the hand priming pump like the 1.9? Giving that a few squeezes, and then running the engine, and then repeating normally gets rid of most air

Don't understand why you hear it after the aircon is turned off. But yes get it regassed (they put oil in too) and see if it fixes your problem

It's difficult to say without checking the components. Could again be a dodgy pressure sensor. Guess a trip to an expert is in order unfortunately

Not entirely sure on the Megane without looking, but on the Scenic with the same engine the wiring plug for the compressor is right by the drive belt towards the top. The whole assembly is a pain to get to without removing the bumper, crossmember and intercooler.
