Convert Electric Windows to Manual?
Anyone ever done this? My drivers side has packed up again and as I expect to keep the car until it dies (joy) I'm not sure I have the will to be faffing about with unreliable windows so am considering converting it to manual. I couldn't care less about it being electric frankly I only open the damn...

So typical of the replies on here, someone fixed it already, there's a thread somewhere, do a search using the worst forum search known to man, jeez you regulars never heard of bookmarking. Become a real miserable forum of late.

Re: Wrong size tyre put on by garage.....
I find it hard to believe you can have two diferent diameter tyres on one axle. They probably just didn't checked what was written on the tyres.

Re: Window regs from RN
The fix is either a regulator or a regulator + wiring loom. (According to them) only stripping down by Renault will confirm if you need the loom or not. The price for a regulator inc parts, labour and VAT from Renault is near enough £312 meaning if your contribution at 25% is about £78. The price fo...

Re: Yet another window regulator related problem
Oh well just had it done at Renault for £78, really couldn't face taking the door apart and putting back together again so just went with Renault in the end. On a separate issue is it me or does it seem every time you visit a Renault garage with one fault, if you're lucky enough to get the original ...

Re: fauty indicator
I had this today, I turned the paddle on the back of the bulb back and forth and it worked again. Before you take it out completely I'd give it half a dozen turns or so back and forth to clean up the connection a bit and see if it does it again.

Re: Yet another window regulator related problem
OK thanks for the feedback, its going into Renault tomorrow 'for an assessment' as the regulators are on back order anyway. I'm seriously considering using this chap: https://sites.google.com/site/proluxelectronics/ he seems to get good feedback on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-WINDOW-MOT...

Re: Yet another window regulator related problem
its 7 years. go for it. OK, thank you for your response, spoken to Renault and they'll pay for 75% of the cost so I'll either have to fork out £78 for just the Regulator or £104 for the Reg & the loom if required. Although I've hit the old 'delays caused by the tsunami' that I notice others hav...

Re: Rattle noise on uneven road....
I had what sounded like a rattle for a couple of weeks, didn't happen all the time though. I had the car up in the air and upon inspection no movement or play from anything and nothing untoward to see, turned out it was a spring on the way out, it eventually broke one day.

Yet another window regulator related problem
'05 5dr Megane with no Renault service history. I heard a clicking in the nearside front door the other day, turned out it was the window motor (or regulator?) clicking trying to go up. Upon lowering the window it would then not go up except in 1" jolts. I did a reset and it seemed to work OK a...

Re: HELP! Cam Belt Snapped!
A missing stamp means absolutely nothing, many people forget to take their service book along or simply cannot be bothered or whatever, you are living in cloud cuckoo land if you really think your argument would stand up in front of a SCC. It is in the interests of the mechanic to do so but they are...
