from what i can remember from owning my Megane, once the engine was stopped, everything stayed on, then as soon as the drivers door was opened, all of the electrics, and i mean all, lights, radio, A/C etc etc all switched off!
mine was also a 1.6 dynamique but on a 52 plate
hope this info helps!

Re: Hi I'm new
smart looking car there, loving the R26R spoiler, but some how in my opinion it doesn't look right with those wheels, they look too small for the car! i no, they are standard renault though.
still, good luck, hope you get many happy days of motoring out of it!

this is thread i posted in the astra owners club forum. unsurprisingly no responses and very little views. anyway, just thought i would share my photos with you all that i found when i was sorting through my phone earlier: I know its not Vauxhall, and I know that June 2008 seems like an age ago, but...

Re: Showroom Shine by Greased Lightning
toosh, i can understand your point there. well, i will probably not be doing on the astra everytime i wash it cause it would work out expensive, about £20 a bottle and i rekon will clean approx 8-10 family size cars (meganes/astras etc depending on how dirty the car is). i have promised the girlfrie...

Re: Showroom Shine by Greased Lightning
well..... i am extremely impressed with the results of the showroom shine. the car looks amazing. i cannot see another way to possibly get a car looking so clean (especially balck), without spending an absolute fortune on a professional valet. the whole "wash" took me about 30mins to do, p...

Re: Strange water/hissing noise (Update Oh Sh*t)
sorry to hear such bad news this close to xmas! i was god-smacked to see how much Renault wanted for new cam-belt/water pump. had the cam belt changed on my megane at beginning of the year, was carried out by local indepedent garage (not renault approved, just a local garage). they used genuine rena...

Showroom Shine by Greased Lightning
Hi, Has anybody ever heard of/used Showroom Shine by Greased Lightning? I ordered my very first bottle from Greased Ligthning yesterday and was wondering what to expect. After seeing demonstrations of it removing tar and dried on enamel paint I was wondering whether it would be one of those gimmics ...

Re: Buying an R26, reliability help?
Jon, i owned a 1.6 megane 3 door hatch, things that caused problems the most for me was: firstly: 1. ignition coil packs 2. approx £35 each (work carried out by local indepedant garage - quote from AA was £50 each) - there is 4 coils in total! - mine were replaced in sets of 2, so £70 each time, in ...
