Thought that might be the case.

Haynes Manual valid for newer models?

I'm after a Haynes manual but the only one I can find states that it is suitable for 2002-05 models - would this still be mostly valid for my 07?

I'm initially after it for removing parts of the dash to fix some awful rattle noises, but then for future general maintenance.

Cheers

Tracked down the workshop manual and can see where the fuse box sits, cheers. Gonna whip out the battery and tray tomorrow.

Re: o/s/f, o/s/r and o/s number plate bulb all blown

Any idea what could have stopped the number plate light on the other side working? All other lights on that side are fine.

o/s/f, o/s/r and o/s number plate bulb all blown

As above - noticed last weekend that all the above blubs stopped working at the same time. I replaced the rear and number plate bulbs to no avail (didn't replace the front side light only because its a bit more faff). My local mechanic had a brief look into it, thinking it may be a minor fuse somewh...

Re: Notchy Box

You might find the megane 'box notchy depending on what you're used to. If you've come from a Ford or BMW then the Renault box just isn't going to cut it. I had the same issue with mine and tried a gearbox oil change with no joy, then had the whole gearbox replaced (luckily under warranty). It impro...

GT Alloys - 5 stud?

Quick question - 17" alloys from a megane GT dci, will they fit my 07 1.5 dci?

Found a picture of them but they are 5 stud - got a feeling mine is 4?

Re: What is the difference in 1.5 DCi Engines

It's the 60-odd bhp variant in the older clio which hasn't got an intercooler.

Re: How to change gearbox oil

The garage (Renault franchise) are waiting for Renault UK to authorise a replacement gearbox as the two solutions they've tried haven't worked - sounds drastic!

Re: How to change gearbox oil

Clutch feels fine (and other gears change ok), car is still in so can't check myself if it fully disengages.

Just waiting on an update from the garage.

Re: How to change gearbox oil

Thought I'd revive this post as I changed the gear oil to Motul with no improvement.... My car went in for service today (to a different Renault dealer to before) and I asked them to check the gearchange, because if anything it's got worse, with 2nd either going in with a grind or being too stiff to...

How to change gearbox oil

I'm sick of the notchy gearchange on my '07 1.5 dci - it's been into renault but they say it's acceptable. Any other car I've driven recently has a better change - has anyone else found this? Looks like it would be advisable to try a change of gearbox oil. From other posts it seems that Motul GEAR 3...

Re: Standard Speakers?

I replaced one of my front bass units just with an original unit from Renault as mine had blown and it was like for like and the cones did seem rather like paper/card. I can't recall what the wording was on the back, but "Solaital" doesn't ring a bell. I reckon you may have uprated units d...

Re: Returning a "renault to go" car?

I too have experience of your first two points (07 plate dci, bought at 2k, now has 12.5k). My steering clunk when setting off (more so if it was immediately after sharp braking to a standstill) seemed to heal itself at 10k miles. I had a sound like a cricket at certain speeds on my blower, however ...

Sony CDX-GT30RN with ipod adapter

Just connected up my sony HU to the XA-110ip ipod adapter and it works ok apart from when ipod is selected as the source, my stalk controls don't work at all. The controls still work fine with any other source except the ipod.

Any ideas?
