According to Renault UK when you phone them, the maximum amount for a diagnostic only check from a franchised dealer is £45, anyone charging a higher amount is pulling a fast one, and needs the franchise dealer reporting to Renault for not following the franchise regulations, apparently.

Well, I feel like I am talking to myself, but anyway here goes, for the benefit of anyone else having this problem ! Dealers have stripped down the sunroof and it appears that the motor is at fault, so they're replacing it under third party warranty, apparently £600 in total. However, I still ...

I would recommend to reject the vehicle, and stop any finance payments immediately, using the sales of goods act 1979, you have the right to return the car as it is not of satisfactory quality and not fit for purpose. Just had the car into the dealers for the panoramic sunroof fixing, they state that it may be the switch or maybe the motor, so they want to replace both at a cost of £600. Hopefully the warranty company will pay, but awaiting confirmation. The problem is that its an intermitent fault. But onl...

Ok, found this link thats very very useful, lists all recalls. https://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/default.asp Sure a lot of people are already aware of it, but worth running your own vehicle through the system to double check it, if you bought it second hand and are not on the list of owners ...

List of Recalls for Scenic

Does anyone know how and where I might be able to get a list of the recalls for the MkIII Renault Megane Scenic, I have recently bought my wife one and want to make sure its had the recalls done, as already one of the window regulators has broken, and I believe this was one of them. Luckily I have 3...

If its still under warranty, make a massive list of all the faults, get every single one sorted, but make sure you get a coutesy car, and if they don't fix every fault refuse to give back the courtesy car, it worked for me, they had it over a week, and replaced all the faulty components, mostly for ...

Hi, get your cars ECU remapped, mines been done and its like a whole new driving experience, massive amount of torque and significantly higher bhp. There are many companies doing this, just try 'Google', and find one in your area, the tuning boxes are no where near as good, and are detectable.
