Aircon problem on 04 1.5DCi 100 Megane
Hi all. I have just been to get the system checked and re gassed. After an hours wait, they told me that it had enough gas in the system to work but they couldn't top it up as the pump kept kicking in and out for no apparent reason. It does blow cold sometimes bit then seems to turn itself off. The ...

Re: Keycard not locking/unlocking car
Its alright now. The thing has suddenly decided to start working again! Typical Renault. I am going to get rid of it now as it has been THE most expensive car to keep on the road that I have ever owned!!!
Thanks to anyone who looked at this thread anyway.

Keycard not locking/unlocking car
I have just got the "replace keycard battery" warning and the keycard was getting a bit slow. I have just got some new batteries but none of them make any difference. It just won't lock or unlock the car. (it does start ok though) I have used some electrical contact cleaner but still nothi...

Re: Bleeding a clutch
Thanks for the advice webcode. Got myself an Eezibleed from Halfords. Hooked it all up as per instructions and, we bled the system 3 times. Closed off the system and bingo, pedal up to the top again. Then realised that the Eezibleed was still attached so disconnected it and put the reservoir cap bac...

Bleeding a clutch
I have a Megane 11 1.5 DCi. I have been trying to bleed the clutch after fitting a new clutch master cylinder but I can't get any pressure in the pedal. There are two clips on the bleed nipple valve that goes into the gearbox. I have opened the nearest one to the gearbox, the other one doesn't appea...

Re: Clutch master cylinder
Done all of the above. Mines the 5 speed. Still can't get it to work. There are 2 clips on part 2. I have pulled the one nearest the engine up to bleed the system but even when it seems there is no air in the fluid, I still can't geg enough pressure in the pedal. Got through about a pint of fluid! T...

Re: Clutch master cylinder
I've disconnected the master cylinder from the pedal and the spring seems to be working. It is not broken or anything. When the master cylinder was connected this morning, the clutch wouldn't engage at all.
Do you know where the bleed nipple is.

Re: Clutch master cylinder
The problem is that the pedal has been a bit notchy for a while. The other day, the pedal stuck at the bottom and wouldn't return, except by pulling it up. It won't now engage the clutch at all. In the first thread I posted, I only got one reply who said it was more than likely the clutch master cyl...

Re: Clutch master cylinder
if the master cylinder goes, wil it leak do you know? The pedal won't return on its own. Someone in another thread of mine suggested that this would be the fault and it is not uncommon on the Megane. Do you know if they are straightforward to replace or do you need to bleed the system down.

Re: Clutch master cylinder
Are you sure because the clutch master cylinder is a separate part according to Renault leicester who quoted me just under £60 to buy.

Clutch pedal stuck down.
I have an 04 Megane 1.5DCi 100. The clutch is fine in that there is no slip etc. There has been a sort of notch feel sometimes when depressing it, a bit like something caught under the pedal. This morning, I changed gear and released the clutch and it stayed down but still had drive. I put the car i...

Re:
Is it a bumper off job to fit the horns? No not at all mate. It was easy in the end when I figured it out. All you need to do is carefully remove the left hand front grill the one beside the badge in the middle. You can then work on the wireing and enough space to get your hands in and fit in place...
