Re: 'Braking Fault' or 'Brake Fault' Warning
Still got this 'Braking Fault' error which flashes up (and beeps) at various times during journeys - ABS seems to work and no difference to brakes generally. I'm thinking a loose connection somewhere... anyone have any ideas? I'm going to put it on the market again soon (after front bumper's replace...

Re: Headlight bulb procedure?
Halfords have just fitted me a new offside headlight bulb for £2.99 (plus the cost of the bulb)! Took mine to Gloucester Halfords on Saturday.. 'sorry mate we don't do Meganes, Kas, Focus..'. Popped into the Worcester branch near work and a nice chap swapped them out in 5 mins. Cost me £5.99 per bu...

Re: Headlight bulb procedure?
Changed my Saab 93's bulbs the other day in Halfords car park - piece of p*ss. Bother of my bulbs have gone on the Meg so went to change... can't believe you have to take the wheel off! Been driving on sides and fogs last couple of nights - I'm going to try my local Halfords and see if they'll do it...

Radio has stopped working again...
Arghh, as well as crashing the Meg in the snow today the radio has stopped working. Didn't drive it over Xmas so yesterday was the first time in a few days. Anyhows, the radio doesn't switch on - I've experienced this before and got it fixed under warranty. Bl**dy thing's gone and done it again. Any...

'Braking Fault' or 'Brake Fault' Warning
Just crashed the car in the snow, needs a new front bumper but lights still working and it drives all right. Question is, have had a following error flash up of late - 'Braking Fault' or similar. Brakes seem to work okay but I reckon it could relate to the ABS... I don't remember the ABS kicking-in ...

Re: 1.9 DCi 130 sounds like I'm running on all terrain tyres...
Thanks for that, is there an easy way I can tell if the bearing's shot by removing the wheel?

1.9 DCi 130 sounds like I'm running on all terrain tyres...
Hi all The car's developed a really annoying whirring noise at all speeds - sounds like I've got a set of all terrain tyres fitted. I'm thinking it's a wheel bearing on front driver's side; had to replace the rear bearings at a recent MOT. I don't have matching tyres on the front though they've been...

Re: First MOT - failure - turning into a nightmare
Nationwide Worcester (The Butts depot). They said I could stick with the old rear pads as they had approx. 8mm left and that they'd rub them down with emery cloth :?: They also said the rear wheel bearing was dangerous and had to be replaced (MOT failure) though I heard no nasty squeeking/grinding n...

Re: First MOT - failure - turning into a nightmare
Thanks for that... I tried wiper blades but the site doesn't work properly on my work PC. I went back to Nationwide Autocentres with my findings - they said they could do the job for £362 (a drop of £90!) - this is as cheap, if not cheaper, with me sourcing the parts then getting them to fit (and ha...
