Re: Some new alloys

Just for info, the wheels are now fitted and are perfect. Could even push slightly further towards the outside if you wanted, by increasing wither the width or positive offsett.
Now for the lowering springs....

Re: 2007 Megane dCi Sedan lowering springs

Thanks for that, will give it a go.
Hopefully the 1.9 isn't too much heavier in the front for spring rates to be an issue.
Cheers,

2007 Megane dCi Sedan lowering springs

Hello all, Wondering if anyone can help, we have a 2007 Megane dCi sedan in Australia, and want to lower it by 35mm front and back... have been in contact with local spring suppliers who have been no help. Online search shows a few UK stores stocking suitable springs who will only ship to UK or Irel...

The 2007 1.9 dCi Megane with factory 16x6.5" alloys is ET49, with a centre bore of 60.1mm. The important numbers you should be looking at will be stamped on the rim itself, once you know these you can just buy tyres at a later date the correct size. Check the rim width and offset (ET). For exam...

16" wheel offset.
Just went to the dealers and took off one of the 16" alloys, they are 6.5x16 ET49. Arghhh! Had thought all along they were a 35mm offset.

Now putting a 17x7 ET40 wheel on will push them out 15mm.

Is this still going to fit??

Not sure on price, nothing extravagant, I think the right wheel will determine that! :-) [/img]

Springs and wheels

Hello all! Hopefully we will take delivery of our new Megane sedan Dci in a week or two, and already I am looking for 17" rims and some lowering springs (girlfriend is the one buying and doesn't like the stock 16" alloys). I am aiming for 17x7 with an offset of 38. Or possibly 7x7.5 with o...

New Megane car price in Australia

After ringing a few dealers and scrounging down accessories etc, I thought it might be nice to save someone else the hassle, and know where they stand with price in Australia. Perhaps someone has done better than me I dont know, but if you have, or you have something to contribute like cost prices f...

Thanks Gav/IainMW Had read the other post previously but not followed the link to the renault UK site, which specifies speed/time for the regeneration. Particulate filter / FAP

Hello all, I have read much of this forum with great interest, as I am considering buying an 07 Megane Dci here in Oz (in fact very close). The other contender is the Mazda 3 turbo diesel. The question I want to ask is in relation to the Particulate filter (which both the Renault and the Mazda are e...
