Hi

The end caps are removable if you look on the side of the door you will see a rubber bung if you remove that inside there is a lever which you have to hook and pull towards you the end cap will then come out.

The rear doors are the same but I found a little more difficult to do.

In the past 3 years haven't had to spend much on repairs on my 53 1.5 dci but its made it up this year New clutch, drivers side drive shaft due to top engine mount bolt breaking and falling onto it, rear springs and shockers, wishbones and bottom engine mount luckily its only parts I have to pay for...

My aircon pressure sensor has not worked for 2 years I have no problems with my 1.5 dci
aircon pressure sensors are £35 from ebay and a doddle to fit

did you keep holding in the start button if you only gave it a quick press then only the radio would switch on but holding it in should turn all the electrics on

Passed the MOT at last

Ist time i took it for MOT failed rear springs and wrong coloured sidelights
2nd MOT retest no charge but failed on wrong coloured sidelights again
3rd time I had to pay full price again but at least this time it passed

Gave it a jump start yesterday and got it started .Took it for a bit of a run and the voltage on the battery went up to 12.68 so I assuming the 11.98v I had yesterday wasn't quite enough to get it going. Many thanks for your replies and I will be changing the battery as the date code on the battery ...

Went out to the car this morning and for the first time the car wont start, tested the battery and its putting off 11.98v also tested glow plugs . He basically just took out the sidelight b and looked at it and said it was the wrong colour. They are supposed to be clamping down on the use of led bulbs as well. I heard that MOT's next year they are going to be checking for stored faults so I bet they hike the cost of the MOT up as most backstre...

My car had just failed its MOT because my side lights were blue so I replaced them with some HID ice white 501's and they failed it again because they put off a very pale blue also Bit bad when I have to pay £45 again to get an MOT when all it failed on was the colour of my sidelights My rear spring...

I would get the access hole covered asap as you dont want water getting in there and into the UCH as you will have alot of problems get some gaffa tape and cover it up. Look like renault have put their prices up they used to be about £15 for the pair, look on flea bay for someone breaking a megane ....

Looks like I will have to have a clutch change, the biting point is at the very very top of the pedal and when setting off in 3rd the car does move and doesn't stall. Does anyone know if the slave cylinder has to be changed as well ? the clutch kits I have seen don't include the slave cylinder Can't...
