Re: Electric window broken
Update... I didn't put the car into the garage in the end after advice received on here.- thanks. I managed to get a regulator from GSF - Leamington Spa for £71.20 and will be looking to fit it myself. Is there any instructions published anywhere for removing the panel / regulator and re-fitting? Th...

Re: Electric window broken
The get the window up trick worked a treat. It might be worth getting the mods to put on a sticky seeing all the other people on here with the same fault. Gives car security and stops you getting wet / cold /all of the above. Would have a look at it myself but in the infamous words of Ricky Gervais....

Re: Electric window broken

Electric window broken
Hello,
2005 1.9 DCI with 85K on the clock. The front passenger side window has gone down and stayed down after I locked the car. I believe it is the regulator that has gone. Is there anyway I can get the window back up so I can drive home in the dry???
Thanks for any help
Andi

Re: Toxic Fumes Warning Light
right, just had it in at a Non Renault garage. The diagnostics showed a fault on the EGR unit / sensor. The mechanic un-plugged the electrical connector and and re-mounted. The dash lights have gone out, but apparently the fault is still registering. It is back in tomorrow for a better investigation...

Re: Toxic Fumes Warning Light
Hi guys. I have a 2005 1.9 DCi with 80K on the clock. The toxic fume warning light has come on, but there is no noticiable affect on the performance. Would this be the coils?
Thanks
Thanks

clutch going?
Hi. 2005 dynamique 1.9dci with 68K on the clock.
I have started to feel the gears mesh during the gear change. I sometimes can get a clunk out of it as well. At 68K is it the clutch on the way out?
Cheers

if the warning light goes off after a re-start - warm engine for 10 mins, the it will be a glow plug gone. the can be purchased from GSF for about £10 each. changing them is fairly easy. if the light stays on even with the engine warm and after a re-start, then it unlikely to be glow plugs. good luck

UCH failure
2005 1.9 DCI with 65k on the clock, therefore out of warranty.
UCH has failed due to an internal failure - stated on the Renault dealership paperwork. Does anybody know what the 'expected' life of a UCH unit is?
thanks
Andi

Well guys here's the story:- Finally got Renault UK to make a decision after many calls to them. they were asking the wrong dealership for information, hence the delay in making a decision. I was told that as my car was purchased via a car supermarket and was 'imported' it did not come with the same...

The car has done 65K miles, therefore out f warranty. To be fair to the dealership service department, they told me to call Renault UK and ask about contributing to the cost of repair. This I did today and they have said they will investigate and will advise if they can. The chap I spoke to seemed o...

Well, it went in today for diagnostics. Dealer told me the diagnotic said it was the hands free system!!! The car does not have the system fitted!!! They then told me it could be the UCH unit, but they can't confirm until it is replaced. Cost = £369.67. If this does not fix it, they will change the ...
