Re: New alternator for bigger system
Not sure if that alt will fit or not but check out https://www.mechman.com and get a custom one if your willing to spend a few $$$$. I think the smallest they will make is a 170 which technically is enough depending on what equipment you want to use. I have 2 air compressors (70amps draw total ), JL...

Re: My car audio..
Good bit of info.. thanks If i could go bigger with the alternator i would but my little 1.6 alredy takes a beating at idle to keep the alternator going. I believe it was rated at like 160 at idle but i never tested it to see what it could do. Bigger could be possible if i keep the car reving higher...

Re: My car audio..
My cap is comming out and i'm going to put the 2 smaller batteries in as thats all i can fit. But if you run a stock alternator (small) and a stock battery it solves that dimmimg problem and it does provide that buffer. Not saying that buffer is great as it puts strain on the alternator but lots of ...

Re: My car audio..
1 more thing i can think of is that the alternator may be comming up short or my car is using up more amperage just to run everything and i'm whats left gets used by the stereo. It does seem like its close to holding it but as i really crank it you can see it start getting closer to 12v. Don't let m...

Re: My car audio..
1/0 gauge for big 3 1/0 gauge to cap 1/0 gauge from cap to ground 4 gauge from cap to each amp as it has a built in distribution block. That d3100 is a beast and but you do have the 3k amp. d3100 is rated for 5000 watts and the d3400 is rated for 3400 watts. Only differences i see is that you have 2...

Re: My car audio..
My plan is to remove the cap and add 2 xspower d680 in my trunk. The cap was one of the first things I bought so it kind of just stayed in the entire time. I was using my stock battery for the longest time. I think if I remove the cap right now I’m going to have too much draw for the 1 battery and 2...

Re: ANZ 19" alloys! What tires to use on 19's???
Go with 225/35/19 and they will fit perfectly. Depending on offset you may rub on the inner wall at full lock but when i ran 19s with 40 mil drop that was the perfect size.

Re: 19's or 18's ???
The rims i have on now are 19x7.5 +38 offset with 225/35/19 tires. 225 fit perfect with 7.5s Now i'm lowered about 30mil and i rub only at full full lock. If you go with the 19s i would put some lowering springs on as well. Your tire wear will be pretty even as the new diameter will be slightly larg...

Re: Remote Start
I was looking at the Viper 5902.
Viper is made by directed electronics along with Python and Clifford so technically they are all the same technology so the bypass kit i would think would work with all of them. I haven't looked into the other ones but i liked the viper 5902.

Remote Start
Anyone setup remote start on their Megane II?
I'm was looking at using like using a Viper system with one if their universal ignition bypass modules. It isn't exaclty designed for a key card but i figure i could probably get it to work.
Thanks
