Cyclonebri1,
Yes, I did wonder whether it was a good idea for the AA man to extinguish the light, but I suppose the garage could have done the same anyway, but as I said if it comes on again I will be straight round there with a few choice words (if we havn't sold it in the meantime!) :fk

Hi Rob, yes, I do agree, but it's such a shame that the build/engineering quality of the Megane wasn't on parr with the design features of the car. Basically she needs a reliable mode of transport for work allied to decent boot space for shopping/B&Q runs. I think I'm suffering from a mid-life c...

Had my wife's megane back today from Slaters Abergele, don't know if they changed the camsaft sensor or not (does'nt look new to me) but we'll see how it goes and if the tf warning light comes on again, there will be trouble, that is if she has'nt traded it for a Yaris in the meantime :!:

Rob,
I'll keep you posted. interesting what you say about the coils, because, talking to the AA man, they always keep a set of 4 on their vans.

Hi Rob, my wife dug out the paperwork on the car and found we were still covered be renault assist, so we called the AA and the diagnostics pulled up fault p0340 camshaft sensor fault, so he extinguished the lights and we'll get it booked in to a Renault dealer under warranty (but not Lookers Renaul...

Looking through the manual it is apparently the "toxic fume filter system warning light" also the service light has come on as well even though it had a service 6 weeks ago. The car is a 1.6, any ideas much appreciat...

My engine suddenly became very noisy, not on the Megane but on my Merc A-class, all from the top end (camshaft area). I took it to my local garage expecting the worst but it was nothing more than a very loose spark plug. The noise was horrendous! so may be worth a quick check

Having said that th...

Rear Discs

Can anyone tell me if it is a difficult job to change the rear discs on my wife's 1.6 megane. I've just priced a set at £115+vat, is that good?
